Sew Many Things!

Just called and her voicemail said she is no longer doing alterations, just sewing classes.

I took my wedding dress to Elaine to be altered. I bought the dress used at a charity and I was quite worried about getting the dress to fit the way I wanted. After taking it to Elaine for the first fitting, she made me feel much better about the dress. I have the finished product and it is exactly what we discussed during the first fitting. I highly recommend Elaine. Not only is she very pleasant to work with and a very skilled seamstress, but she also has very fair prices.

Pretty affordable and efficient! I saw a cute Ann Taylor dress at a thrift store for $ 5. Sadly, it was not in my size. I really really wanted it so I decided to buy it. However, I didn’t know any tailors in town. The last time I had something tailored, it was $ 40. I called around Davis to see if there were any places that would do it at a good price. One place wanted $ 70 to get my dressed altered. Man oh man, I was starting to regret that I had bought the dress.
I thought Woodland might have more affordable tailors because Davis happens to be a more pricier neighborhood. I found Elaine through Unilocal and gave her a ring. She was very pleasant over the phone and tried to accommodate to my schedule. I went to her place (not too far from Davis) and did the fitting so she could see how much to take in. She finished my dress in less than a week and was pleasant to work with. The best part of it al was that she did not demand a super high price and was pretty fair.

I needed 6 pairs of jeans hemmed (I have a case of the shorties) and looked up possible local places. I decided to go to Elaine and she did a wonderful job on my jeans! She pinned them for me when I dropped them off and completed them by the next day. They fit perfectly and she matched the thread at the bottom to the rest of the pants. She will be my new go-​to jeans lady! Thanks Elaine! :)

Elaine was able to tailor some suit pants for my fiancé in a matter of days and did a great job. I will use her again.
