Foundation Technologies

One year after Bruce’s team put in the drainage, and with 10 inches of rain in December and and early January this year, our basement is dry as a bone. Great work by Foundation Tech!

I had Foundation Technologies inspect my foundation when buying my first home. Bruce was incredibly knowledgeable about the very unique set up I had on my foundation. He brought the deficiencies to my attention immediately to make sure this wouldn’t compromise my choice on buying this home. After he completed my detailed report and discussed all that would be entailed in fixing it, I put it on the back burner as I had many other things on my mind when buying my first home.
I had 5 different contractors come take a look at my foundation and every single one of them was scratching their heads trying to figure out how to fix it, being as none of them had said they ever saw anything like this. Obviously I chose Foundation Technologies to fix the work. We set a schedule and I explained my concerns (new baby and baby on the way, as well as the very hyper dog) and wanted to make sure the job site would be left spotless every day. He is one of the only contractors (out of 7 who have worked at my house) who still have an «A+» in my book. The job was clean everyday, I didn’t have to worry about nails or mess around the house that my dog or kid could get into. He was so polite, friendly and gave some progress updates on how everything was going.
I would highly recommend Foundation Technologies again (I’ve already referred them for a number of other jobs). These guys are the best.

We were referred to Bruce by a local geo-​technical engineer to check out the foundation on a house we are purchasing on a hillside. Bruce was fantastic! He spent two hours walking around the inside and outside of the house as well as crawling up under the house, looking at even the finest details that could show a sign of structural problems. Since we don’t have a civil engineering background, we really appreciated that he took the time to explain what each of the issues were and give his assessment of whether they were signs of a serious problem.
I was a little concerned by the one star Unilocal review that we saw here that working with Bruce might be an issue, but we had the exact opposite experience that the other reviewer had. I think some times people who don’t have a lot of exposure to working with engineers take the matter-​of-​fact personality that many engineers, including Bruce, have as being cold & unpleasant, which isn’t the case at all.
Overall, Bruce was hugely helpful in making us feel that the house we are purchasing is structurally sound. I would definitely use his services again in a future home purchase.

These guys are very good. Extremely courteous and communicative and got the job done on time. They left the site in as good condition as they found it.
Since the job was a big retaining wall under the foundation, I’ll have to give it a few years to really make sure it holds up, but looks real good as of now.
