We specialize in helping older adults and their families with the daunting process of downsizing and moving to a new smaller residence. We also help people any age who want more order and efficiency in their lives. We do it expertly, compassionately and affordably.

History

Established in 2009.

Swedish-​born Maria Norrman Quinby was living in California with her husband and two children, and working as an Interior Designer, when her parents in 2004 announced they were ready to consolidate both their two-​story city home and generations-​old country estate into a single, small apartment. They reassured her they could manage themselves, but Maria knew she had to go home to help. It wasn’t easy. «My mother wanted to hold on to everything, while my father was ready to let it all go. Of course, I had my own feelings about their things.» At the end of the process, when her parents were settled in, Maria had an unexpected revelation: «I had really enjoyed it!» When she came home Maria saw that there were many other parents who needed her help. So she decided to become a Senior Move Manager.

Maria N Quinby is a Certified Senior Move Manager (cSMM) with a Residential and Commercial Interior Design Certificate from Canada College, Redwood City, California. She also has a degree in Business Administration and Economics from Uppsala University in Sweden. Maria is a member of the National Association of Senior Move Managers (NASMM), the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) and is an Allied member of the American Association of Interior Designers (ASID)
