We were looking at the antique stores next door and decided to stop in for lunch. A very cosy place and the ladies managing it were very nice. My wife and I had teas(excellent lapsang souching) along with a beef ale pie, steak and mushroom pie and mushy peas. The pastry was excellent on both the pies and the filling was great. Would’ve been nice to have some mint in the mushy peas, but otherwise pretty nice. We ended with bread pudding(nicely done, though a bit too much cinnamon) and a lemon-ginger scone(beautifully done texture and flavor). Overall, an excellent find and pretty authentic flavors(I grew up in Harrogate)

Brilliant little tea shop in a barn. Scones, antiques, and teapots — can’t do better than the feel of being in Granny’s kitchen for a spot of tea in a super-cozy-get-to-know-your-next-table-neighbors ambiance. Tables are tight together here in this small space but it totally works for charm. Enjoyed a curried corn chiwder as well as egg-cellent egg-salad and chicken salad tea sandwiches with a pot of hot peppermint tea and an iced boysenberry tea. The selection of hot and iced teas is impressive, as is the choice of scones. The blueberry scones had a lovely flavor, complemented by mouthwatering lemon curd or homemade strawberry jam(try both!) and were a moist, biscuit-size finish to a nice meal. Mrs. Bridges has its own specialty gift shop with teas, pots, spoons, cozies and all things Union Jack. The shared property with two antique stores is a bonus. Bathroom is located next to at neighboring antiques shop. A great place to stop with a handful of antiques and country stores nearby. Literally a hidden gem, Mrs. Bridges is set back off the street behind Scranton’s Shops. Get here, spit-spot.

First time visiting this place and it was great! Very cute and comfortable setting. Had a lot of decaf option so for those who can’t have caffeine. Absolutely loved the cucumber and cheese sandwich. I contemplated taking one for the road, but decided I’ll just have to go back for more. The cranberry orange scone and lemon curd was also fantastic. Well done!

One of my favorite places to visit especially summer/fall as it’s a beautifully scenic drive. I’ve brought everyone I know here including my 20 something sons’ and they love it!!! The food is authentic and tasty the beverages are unique if you break out of the«soda pop» culture. My only complaint is their lack of loose leaf tea. I love loose leaf and anything in a bag is just NOT an experience for me… would it be rude of me to bring my own??? I hope they upgrade their bagged teas to loose leaf — maybe a nice Earl Grey, Rooibos or possibly Green Tea & Chai.

Enjoyed a small pot of Assam tea, crustless salmon and cucumber sandwiches, along with a plain scone with cream and strawberry jam. Everything tasted wonderful and fresh. Born and raised in the UK, I can say this tea room comes pretty close to the authentic atmosphere of a similar place in the Cotswolds. Disappointed that the goods in the attached shop, particularly the chocolate items, are overpriced. Worth the 1 hour drive to get here.

Expats be warned ! The staff were absolutely wonderful, the décor was great, but if it’s the food your after, for a taste of home, don’t bother, it’s just NOT authentic. The tea also tasted like whatever tea had been previously brewed in the tea pot. the portions were small and very over priced for something that won’t remind you of home one bit, I didn’t order desert as I figured I would put a stop to the disappointment, my partners scone looked like a regular american biscuit with currents shoved in it, such a shame and a let down. Sorry Mrs Bridges pantry

I REALLY like this place. Completely unexpected for the Woodstock area, I never would have known it was there if not for the ‘word of mouth’ express that effectively carries the worth of making an out of the ordinary experience. I’ve never been to the UK(much anyway) but I’d have to presume that the authenticity of the Pantry is ‘spot on’. Very courteous staff, generous portions(your very own Tea Pot!!), delicious entrees as well as pastries. Had a great lunch there a few weeks ago, still thinking about it, good times, looking forward to going back.

Great little tea room — can’t verify the authenticity of the dishes but it is comfortable and cozy and quite relaxing.

Had a scone and some tea, having lived in UK for 2 years I can say this place is authentic and great. The scone was amazing and the tea hit the spot. Highly recommended. I intend to go back and try their other food like the meat pies will update when I do!

This place is beyond cute. It has that British tea room vibe, with over 300 teas to choose from. I suggest the Shepard’s Pie if it on the menu that day, and def. try some of the baked goods. Another perk is the gift shop, I love all the gourmet teas and Brtish treats you can purchase. If you’re in the area, you must see this place!

What a gem. Delicious tea and scones, and I love their meat pies. Also a quaint gift shop stocked with goodies from the UK. I love to sit with my laptop(free WiFi!) and get work done, while sipping tea.

I came here years ago while Mrs. Bridges was under different ownership(at both the Putnam & Woodstock locations) and was not impressed at all. However, since being taken over by a couple of true Brits, this place has undergone a complete overhaul. They have expanded the space and the menu is vastly improved. The décor is very cute, and the food is spectacular. I ate here with a party of 10 today and every single one of us exclaimed«oh this is delicious!» or «mmmm this is soooo good!!!» No complaints with the food! However… I had made reservations at least a week prior, and when I arrived said«We’re the party of 11» the lady who greeted us acted confused even though I could see the table set up for us behind her. Additionally, our waitress was a bit rude when we asked for separate checks(who wouldn’t with that many people!?) and did the same to the adjacent table. She even questioned my order and embarrassed me by indicating that I didn’t realize how much food I was ordering. I really don’t think a sandwich, tea, and a scone is a lot. All in all, it was a nice place. Perhaps they aren’t used to such large parties, so I’ll definitely go back with one or two people instead and see how that goes.

I love this quaint little tea house. It has a true English tradition feel with a large array of teas to chose from. Many other traditional foods, pastries and gifts. Also has a nice little porch to relax and sit out on when the weather is nice.

My boyfriend and I went to Mrs. Bridges Pantry last Friday because I’ve been wanting to go to an English tea shop so bad. I was very impressed about the items they have imported from England. Also, I was happy to see digestive biscuits they taste great dipped in tea. I’ve noticed when I was there I saw this thick black stuff in a small jar called Marmite, I’ve tried that on toast in the past and I wasn’t to keen on it as it had a weird taste. Also, they had my favourite items that I like for example Walker’s crisps and cadbury fruit and nut chocolate bar and Jelly Belly’s yummy. I was happy to see the tea sets and tea pots they were so beautiful. This sure brings back great memories of when I lived in England. I’m the typical Anglo-American that loves a great cup of Tetley tea.

This traditional British tea room is tucked away in a small cottage along one of Woodstock’s main thoroughfares. As soon as you walk in, you feel like you’ve entered a quiet outpost of peaceful repose. If the words rustic and sophistication can mix, they do at Mrs. Bridges’, along with over 200 of the worlds finest teas and real, delicious British foods, most of which are made, cooked, or baked fresh daily. The staff are a mixture of warm, lovely women and equally lovely and helpful girls, helping to make it a great place for women. All the teas are sold to go along with accessories and imported British sweets and other goods. An excellent place for lunch, tea, or simply to pick up some Turkish delight or real Cadbury chocolates(not the Hershey’s branch of the name that’s distributed throughout the US), Mrs. Bridges’ Pantry is worth a visit from anyone who finds themselves in the bucolic Quiet Corner.
