Semper Fi Bar And Grille

I stopped by here for lunch after checking out some of the reviews. This is a very friendly place and was very busy on a Sunday afternoon. It seems to have a devoted clientele.
They have standard pub food offerings and serve mainly sandwiches and burgers plus there are some entrée dishes. They have a variety of different burgers. I had a Frisco burger, which came on sourdough with tomatoes and cheddar cheese. The burgers come with a pretty big serving of fries. The burger was pretty good and reasonably priced at only $ 8.09.
The beer selection is nothing fancy. There were six taps that I counted with mainstream beers. I had a Yuengling.
It’s mainly a sit down restaurant. There is a bar, but there were only about 8 seats at the bar. I wouldn’t say it is really a place for solo diners like me.
It pops up in Unilocal as a sports bar, but I wouldn’t call it a sports bar. There are some screens around but there wasn’t a good selection of games and from any given seat you couldn’t see many screens.
I have four stars because I think it was a good value for the money. It’s also a pleasant place to sit in, with a lot of windows giving it a bright and airy feel.

Wanted to try out the new place since it supports marines however out experience was HORRIBLE. The service was incredibly slow (15 minutes to get a beer) the food was horrible as well. My boyfriend had to get up to get us condiments cause we waited so long for our server to come back that our food was cold. I get being busy as I bartended and served for many years but there was no excuse for the service we received.

Love the patriotic atmosphere! I had a BLT and have never had so much bacon in a sandwich before! YUM! Oh, the fried pickles are delish too.

We had a great experience here. Busy but not impossibly crowded on a Friday night. Great food and atmosphere!

Great food and big portions. We went for lunch and ordered the BLT, a BLT with egg, and a chicken Cesar wrap. All the sandwiches were great. The bread for the BLT’s was crispy and buttery and the sandwiches were packed full of bacon.
The restaurant was clean and is full of very cool military memorabilia. The staff were attentive and the food came quickly. The owner came around and checked that everything was fine.
We will be going back.

Great food. Group of 9 with a few kids. Lots of things to look at with Marine Corp memorabilia. Someone is a Packers fan too.

Took family of four. Food was good, service was good and the patriot environment was awesome. The manager came and chatted with us for 5 mins. Enjoyable… price a little high tho

Best burgers we’ve had since we moved here. I had the bacon, egg and cheese burger. It was fantastic. The double was just $ 1 more than a single. I couldn’t pass it up even if I should have. The wife doesn’t get as excited and me and the boys about burgers but she thought it great too. Our waitress was very good and the service was noticeably quick.
Ralph came over to introduce himself right after we got there. Great guy. He’s got live entertainment Friday’s and Saturday starting at 6:00. I thought that was great because some places don’t start until late and that doesn’t work to good with a family. The guy playing was really good. He’s local and Ralph said he got him booked to come back a bunch of times.
There’s also outdoor seating but the music was inside and the forecast was for rain. There are a lot of TV’s to catch a game.

If you are in the mood for friendly and efficient staff, well-​prepared and tasty pub food, interesting historical military memorabilia, and dining outside on sunny days and temperate Georgia nights, DEFINITELY come here! Woodstock seems offer only pick up bars or high-​priced restaurants in the center, or chain or low brow restaurants along 92. THIS is a clean, casual, friendly pub with good food and it is a true small business, not a chain!
Disclosure: I am former military and come from a military family. The owners of this restaurant are also former military (the restaurant’s name, «Semper Fi,» should have made that obvious), and they do a TON of charitable work through their restaurant to support the military.
So not only are you supporting a small business (not a chain) where you can meet and greet the owners, you are also supporting community members who endeavor to do right by both active military and veterans. The don’t just talk the talk, the walk the walk!
I stopped in one evening and unfortunately I just missed ordering before the kitchen closed. Hearing that I was hungry, the owner said, «It is my wife’s birthday and we have some cake here. Would you like a slice?» Wow, how kind and it was a real treat to satisfy my sweet tooth.
Every time I eat here (whether it is food from the kitchen or free cake from the owner’s wife’s birthday cake), the staff is very attentive, friendly, and efficient. I can’t say enough about how I love this restaurant.

The food here was incredible! The staff was friendly! The atmosphere was relaxed! It was perfect! The pretzel was HUGE and delicious! The cheese curds were fresh and yummy and the burger was juicy and tasted great! I had the candied bacon on my burger and it was phenomenonal. Basically I have nothing negative to say about this place. We will definitely be back. Maybe this afternoon when I have room for dessert…

Apparently started by two former Marines. Nice ambience. Just a relaxing environment in which to enjoy a cold beer and a good burger.
Oh. The Philly is good, too!

Wife and I went in for a casual lunch, taking a break from doing some spring cleaning the house and garage.
If you are looking for a relaxed atmosphere, this is a great place and is nice to be greeted at the door by the owner who was exceptionally friendly and welcoming.
My wife ordered the Cali Burger and myself the Semper Fi Burger with sides of fries. Both were outstanding burgers, done exactly the way we wanted them.
The service was very quick and very friendly. The only small gripe I had was that our waitress disappeared toward the end of our lunch and never came back but no worries.
Overall five star for the great people, atmosphere and most importantly the great food!
We will be coming back.

Wanted a low key, casual dinner for Valentine’s Day Tonight so we decided to try this place. We really like it. The staff was friendly, warm, and welcoming. We ordered the giant pretzel, medium spicy wings as appetizers. Both were very good. The pretzel was enormous and came with 2 tasty dipping sauces. Husband had Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich and I had Fish Lettuce wraps with Ginger Slaw. Both were delicious. Portions were decent size and after the large appetizers we ended up taking half of our entrees home. Looking forward to eating the other half of mine for lunch tomorrow. Husband had a beer but I had the bloody mary special with their own homemade mix. We will definitely be back.

Stopped by this evening for the first time to get some food to go. Went inside and was greeted quickly and was pointed towards the bar for take out. The bartender was very knowledgeable about the menu
I settled on teriyaki chicken wings and placed my order
While waiting for the food I walked around to look at all the armed services memorable. I did notice a couple of tables with this huge home-​made pretzel and dipping sauce, I will be getting one of those next time. I met the owner who was very nice and the restaurant itself was very clean. I got my food quickly and when I got home the order was correct. The wings were very good. They come with either ranch or blue cheese with celery and carrot sticks nice touch. My wife and I will definitely be going back to this restaurant. Oh yeah they have cheese curds to.

A previous reviewer, Helen H. gave this place 1 star. She stated… «If you want to eat at a restaurant that panders to a certain political group this is the place for you.»
Well, I guess technically if you are driving to this place from Highway 92, you do have to veer to the right to get into the parking lot. :) Maybe that is what she meant!
Anyway, my family and I went there last night to check out the place.

The food was bar food, but it was pretty good. Good enough we’ll come back for sure.
The soft pretzel is about $ 7.50. But once you see it, you’ll understand why. It’s enough for about 3 people…
In full disclosure though, I am a bit biased toward this place though. My father is a retired Chief Master Sergeant from the Air Force. I’m a 10 year veteran of the US Navy. My oldest son is currently serving in the Air Force, and my youngest son enters the Corp on the 13^th of June.

Delicious! Delicious! Delicious! The service is fantastic. The food is damned good. Best burgers around. Hands down. Leave room for the Bananas Foster pound cake. It will make you want to slap somebody it’s so good. (Disclaimer– don’t really slap anyone. Cobb county and Cherokee jails don’t serve very appealing desserts or anything else for that matter). On a serious note, I’m so in awe of how wonderful this place is and the fact that they have dedicated the restaraunt to honoring those that have served in the military is icing on the cake. I will be a repeat customer. Probably tomorrow! See you there!

I stopped by for lunch on a Saturday.
I had the brats and they were really good. I got onion rings on the side and they were also really good.
The out side of the place is deceiving as the inside is really nice and clean.
Looking at all the USMC stuff was not easy as an USAF vet but I knew what I was getting in to.
Highly recommended and I will definitely come here again.

I don’t give out many 5 star reviews for food places but this place deserved it. Our family of 3 went for dinner tonight after having driven past many times going out and about.
We tried both the jumbo pretzel and fried cheese curds and both were delicious. The jumbo pretzel is HUGE. We tried a BEC burger, braised beef and a chili dog. Everything was cooked well and tasted fantastic. We of course tasted a dessert. We choose the pound cake bananas foster and wow it was good!
Our waitress was very kind and outgoing. She was helpful with the menu and beer selections too.
I hope this place stays around a long time. It is already much nicer to see than the former establishments that used to occupy this building. They have really made it look nice and inviting!

Wonderful new spot, let’s all support a new restaurant in our neighborhood. Doing this won’t be hard. The food and staff are super nice. This will defiantly be on my weekly rotation.
Tons of parking and easy access at a light. Menu has good choices and good price point.
