I come here at least once a week, and have never been disappointed. The food is fresh and plentiful, the employees are helpful and happy, and the prices are right. On a recent visit, I ordered a chicken stir fry sandwich. I didn’t order cheese, but upon taking one bite, thought it would improve the experience of the sandwich with a few slices of melted American. I asked if they would melt a few slices on, and before I knew it, I had a completely new, freshly made sandwich with the melted cheese! After that, this sweet woman(who is always there when I come by) brought me a complimentary cup of soup«for my trouble»! Seriously? Now THAT is customer service. I love this place!

Always good food, always fresh. We often arrive right before they close at 7 and the staff happily makes our sandwiches, holds friendly conversation and apologizes if they are out of anything. We really are consistently happy with this establishment.

Really good quality sandwiches and salads. Different kinds of salads to choose from — potato, cranberry chicken, pastas. Delicious! Good selction of chips and assorted beverages to go with your lunch. Their tuna wrap special of the day rocks! My boyfriend gets the Generator everytime we go– it’s a huge sandwich, but somehow he manages to finish it all. Bushel ‘N Peck has a fun Question of the Day you can try to solve to get a stamp towards future free sandwiches. Great service everytime I go.

I don’t know why people like this place so much. They microwave anything that is warm(no grill) and the sandwiches are mediocre. Yes, there is a lot of variety but the quality is just not there. Much better options available such as New England roast beef.

I have to say this place is pretty bad for a deli. I ordered a chicken parm sub which was microwaved right in front of me. When I think of a deli I think fresh made food. If I wanted microwaved food I would have gone to Subway.

I took my wife here for a quick lunch but was not impressed. The employees seem to know the regulars and not really care about new clientele and if they keep up the experience I doubt they will have many more new«repeat» customers. –We could not find a menu, yes there are chalkboards on the walls with the specials but we did not want that so after some searching(mind you no one was offering to help…) I located menus for us. –We looked at them while standing in queue for service, again one person a head of us, who showed us we were standing in the wrong spot, then one of the women took our order and when we said we were going to stay she said ok have a seat. –When she brought over the food she said next time you should probably pay while it is not busy, perhaps the best piece of advice I got here. My wife laughed and asked why did you tell us to sit down? –The food was bleh, had I known they were just going to through a piece of cold eggplant parm in the microwave I might have picked something else and my wife had a simple chicken cutlet wrap which was also microwaved. We both ate our meals again nothing too epic or even remotely exciting especially with so many other small sandwich/pizza shops around. –Here is the part I want to share with my fellow Unilocal reviewers — I got up to pay, I went to the register and a woman behind the register took someone else’s money, looked at me and then went back to help some one else, starting to making another sandwich. So I waited and another woman behind the counter rung up another person and then looked at me. Finally I asked them do you want to take my money? To which she responded, ok what did you have. I told her she took my money and we left. I walked out laughing that I had to beg them to take my money…

I love this place! It’s a standard small Italian deli with amazing food! It’s more of a grab and go kind of place but there is a small area to sit in. I am a vegetarian so delis are usually difficult for me to really enjoy but this one is a can’t miss! I have always enjoyed my sandwich and would have given 5 stars accept my experience today was not as good. The new counter girl who made my sandwich completely ignored order and made me a veggie pocket instead of a sandwich even after I corrected her and asked her to put it in bread and told her I wanted a sandwich. She then acted as if I said something incorrect(I always order the same thing) and gave me a huge ATTITUDE about me correcting her(although I thought I was polite). For this particular experience I have to give it 4 stars but I will say the sandwich was still great and I have always enjoyed the food. Maybe just not go to the new counter girl with black curly hair and a nose ring.

I tend to think the Tatnuck Square BnP on Chandler St is a notch above the Summit, but they both are excellent. The best part is the«creative combos» section on the menu. Sanwiches with unusual combinations of ingredients, which always work very well. Their deli products have always been good for me, and the staff are always friendly and accomodating. Love it love it love it. Prices have gone up a little disproportionately over the many years, and they used to have a more extensive menu, before jumping on the wrap trend. Thats the only thing keeping them from getting that fifth star. Overall fantastic place.

For years I frequented the Bushel N Peck(BnP) at the Summit for lunch. I still do when I am in town. The food is fresh, prices are reasonable for what you get, and the people are always friendly. Their flagship«BnP»(Italian sandwich shown in one of the pictures here) comes pre-made so you can grab-n-go or you can have one custom made. Can’t lose with this one. Other great choices I have had are BnP’s Chicken Mediterranean Wrap, homemade chicken noodle soup, and Chicken Cutlet Parmesan grinder/sub. BnP also offer an assortment of very good homemade cookies and other desserts. Beverages are also offered and most are locally-made products as well as national brands. The deli counter also offers a multitude of homemade side dishes and entrees you can heat-n-eat at home. The only downside is that the weekend staff seems more lax and less efficient and tend to screw up call-in orders. In person, they seem less quick in working a line of customers because of their socializing… not with customers but with themselves.

Mrs B decided to surprise me for lunch today and this is where she took me. She had been here before, this was my first time here. I’d been past here hundreds of times before and never noticed Elsa’s before. Walking in reminded me a lot of a NY style deli. This is the kind of place I’m used to patronizing as opposed to Subway. My only complaint is that I didn’t see a breakfast menu. We walked up to the counter and grabbed a menu and sat down at a table to look at our many choices. Mrs B chose a B & P Italian, I zeroed in on a Chicken Cutlet Parmesan. The sandwiches were huge and tasted great. The only thing I would have changed is having my sandwich toasted, but that’s on me, not the staff. The staff was great. Our server was friendly and our wait was minimal. She was nice enough to bring our food out to us as were both still on crutches. While this was my first time here, I’m sure it will not be my last.

First time trying this place. Big issue: Make sure you call the right location if calling for take out. Email site only list phone number for Chandler St. Food was very filling and tasty. No plastic ware provided. The ceasar salad was good. The chicken Mediterranean wrap was excellent. The turkey blt wrap was large and stuffed. I will return.
