Gentle Dental

The Dentist are good, but the staff is not very knowledgeable about anything you ask them. They don’t understand the basic customer service. If you don’t have an answer don’t blame it on your coworker. Maybe say i’ll call you back when I have an answer. Just a suggestion. knowing that-​make sure when you call to remember who you were talking to.

The owner of the business reached out to me, I had met her before she is a very lovely woman. She apologized for her employee’s unfortunate behavior and offered me a chance to come in and get a cleaning.
I, of course, accepted her invitation and went in. The office was filled with pleasant smiles and a welcoming environment. The advice given to me from the Director was honest and sincere, and the services were well done, I definitely appreciated it.
By the end of the appointment, I was comfortable and pleased enough to decide to give this place another shot. I appreciate the invite to come in again and I did enjoy my visit. If anyone is lucky enough to meet and talk to the very pleasant owner of Gentle Dental on your visit, you will be very happy to have chosen this place.

I’ve been going here for years. My appointments are always on time and although they rotate their hygienists quite frequently they have all been very thorough in my cleanings. Tina, is a wonderful dentist also. Very friendly and makes you feel at ease when administering novocaine, etc. I’ve needed much work and they are less expensive than other dentists for almost everything, crowns, root canals, gum surgery, etc.

i started with them the day they opened their doors and thought they were excellent for the first several years however within the last two years or so i have found the service consistently going down hill which is more than likely the result of them turning this place into a fast food like business. and so i found a small local place that is on time and takes their time like gental used to.

Chandler is the awesomest ever. She makes getting your teeth cleaned easy and pleasant. She is a real pleasure to be around, and does not instill in you the cold-​sweat kind of gripping terror that nightmares are made of.
Dr. Arora gets an A+ too. Outstanding customer service all around, and they even let me pick which color toothbrush I got. I have been a patient here for years, and I will continue to go there every six months, or as often as they will allow me to go.

By far the worst dentist I’ve ever been to! Went there with excruciating pain which they knew about. Got called in after waiting 40 minutes in the waiting room. Took some x-​rays Dr. Aurora looked at them and said I need more x-​rays. Ok fine. Had more done Dr. Aurora came back looked at them again and left the room again for almost 2 hours in excruciating pain! I finally got out of the chair to see her chatting away with her Indian friend. On top of all this she tried selling me a root canal on a shattered tooth! And kept pushing it on me to get one. Once I told her just to pull it her attitude changed. Of course less money for them. Never once did she tell me what was wrong with my tooth etc. she was just more concerned on trying to sell me root canals on 5 of my teeth. Which I don’t need. spent almost 3 hrs there in so much pain for her to talk to me for 5 minutes. This place and Dr. Aurora is very unprofessional. Go to a real independent dental office not a chain dental office. Lesson learned. Place is a joke!

I’ve been a faithful patient at Gentle Dental for many years; Quincy, Natick & Shrewsbury offices. However, I had a bad experience during my last cleaning and considered looking elsewhere. When I called to cancel my appointment and did not want to reschedule, the office manager sincerely asked me why and convinced me to try another hygenist.
I was so happy I agreed to come in again. I had an awesome, non painful experience with Chandler, who was so sweet and professional. It reminded me why I have been coming to their offices for these past years.

Today, I went for the dental cleaning. The place is located at a nice area of Worcester, MA. The hygienist was very friendly and kind. She cleaned the teeth with detail and passion. It was worthy to visit there for the cleaning.

I have to say that my very first visit was an emergency where I needed a huge molar pulled… I was less than happy … but it was a huge tooth and understand the reasoning behind the way it had to come out. Today I am happy about it because the hole was stitched and not left open to heal and now I have a gum that feels and looks normal… of course a tooth would be better there… but that’s for later on in my treatment plan. I now am a patient of Dr. Arora and couldn’t be happier with her. She tells it like it is. At first she thought I needed a root canal, which of course could have been possible because the tooth was so bad, but found that there was still enough tooth «skin» there and she put another layer on… with the hopes of getting 5 years out of this tooth before a root canal is going to be required. I am very pleased with the staff and Dr. Arora and it was very hard for me to change from my previous dentist (he dropped my insurance) to a new one because I am such a baby about my teeth… I have to give them props at Gentle Dental on Shrewsbury St. I’m very happy with what I have done so far. Glad that Dr. Arora is my dentist and will be as long as both she and I are there…

This place is pretty chaotic and I won’t go back for anything. They are unprofessional and uncooperative.
I am a great patient, have insurance, am pretty easy going and don’t mind dentists /​needles or the like at all.
The actual dentist was ok (just had a cavity filled). I had to wait around a lot longer than I should have, but still. She suggests a cleaning — ok it’s been a while, why not.
So she hooks me up with Cheyenne — whoa. She’s like a used car salesman. Seemingly super nice, she’s NOT. A cleaning turns into a deep cleaning turns into this and that and one visit turns into 3. Always quite vague with the costs and the details. It’s the ‘let’s see how we can grab all of your insurance money and then some’ game. Always very interested in how much insurance I had the entire time, when it expires, renews and the like. I caught her in several lies, telling me ahead of time ‘if this, then you’ll need that’ sort of stuff. And when the ‘if this’ didn’t come back negatively — I still suddenly needed the super expensive ‘then that’ procedures. Questioning this seemed to just upset her and she goes.
Sitting there, out of the blue some weird guy with a bad Brooklyn accent ‘eh oh yo badaboom badabing’ comes into the private room while I’m waiting and starts harassing me about my teeth. Literally! No introduction, no polite ‘mind if I’ or ‘Cheyenne was just speaking to me’ — nothing! He just launches into how awful it is for not wanting this expensive course of treatment. WHO ARE YOU GUY? I never did get his name!
Turns out Cheyenne just decided to go ahead and share my medical information with everyone on staff without asking me /​letting me know? NICE! So now she’s back in as well and I realize this is just a tag/​team pressure tactic to make $ at my expense. Bombarding me from both sides about why I should have $ 2k worth of work done. And they really weren’t nice about it either. I literally felt like I was buying a used car and I finally just had to leave. They were lucky I didn’t unleash a massive tirade on the way out my door. I’d perform my own dentistry with rusty tools before heading back to this place!

I made an appointment because I had a toothache. My appointment was for 1045. I was taken at 1130. They did xtrays, which made me gag. They «cleaned» my teeth by using this wire tool and scrapped 50% of my teeth and then they flossed me. That was the extent of my teeth cleaning. Nothing was applied to my mouth at all! I used the bathroom halfway and when i got back to my seat, I was told that i was all set and the doctor will be ready to see me. Um… that’s great and all but what about my top teeth? They don’t get to be cleaned? Doctor comes in, checks my mouth and says I have a cavity. Led me to the desk where I can discuss payments. I told them, I called my insurance and they said they would cover my cost for up to $ 500. When I had asked one of the workers «cleaning» my teeth, she said I was all set and that i was fully covered with my insurance. Receptionist explained that the insurance only covered half of my cost and that I should not even use it cos i will have to pay more. Instead i should pay 57 dollars upfront since its a special promotion. That’s cool and all but um, I scheduled my appointment cos I had a toothache! So again, I’m walking out with a toothache and bleeding bottom gums and 57 dollars were taken from me. They insisted I get my cavity fixed next tuesday and by then, i can use my insurance which I still have to pay half from my pocket cos they can only accept partial. Had I known that my insurance doesnt apply to the special discounted package that they had, I wouldn’t have gone. Of course I was lied to about my insurance covering my expense at the beginning. Do not go to this place, they are dishonest and have hidden fees (they will discuss it with you as you check out.)Be careful what you sign, they have unnecessary payments that they failed to tell new customers as they walk in. No wonder why they are always dead. Dear Gentle Dental: Please be upfront with your prices and no scams. Maybe, people will actually refer you and you will get money rather than applying hidden fees to stay in business.

I am getting braces here. Since I don’t have ortho insurance, thse price was so much better than what I was quoted at 2 other places. Everyone was so nice! Becky, the assistant to my ortho, is so amazing! My ortho gradudated from Tufts University, and he is very expierenced! I have had braces on when I was younger, and didn’t complete my treatment. I know what needs to be done. He was very sincer, easy going, spot on. They were so personable an made me feel amazing about getting braces! Where the other places, private practices just want your $. I can’t wait to get my braces on in a fsew weeks wsith Gentle Dental!
