Sad comparison of what it uses to be. Wont be visiting again. Small selection of costumes and props. Limited on decorations. Still very expensive.

Sadly this place downgraded, before it downgraded the scary entrance got less and less scary… the stuff here was so overpriced that probably will break in one use! The masks are lovely! Ever since it downgraded, there’s no animatronics, and it’s all dollar store items that are sold for $ 5-$ 15 dollars… You could go next door to the new dollar store(where the old Halloween outlet use to be…) I believe they made a big mistake downsizing, but what are you going to do?! When you get most of your business during October and your open all year round, there’s no need. This place is similar to Spirit Halloween! Only open in October and then close! I like this place because I kinda know the family, I’ve talked to the family nice people! I love their masks! Even though they are expensive totally worth it!!! The only thing is since the downgrade, I believe they are getting rid of their masks! :(! Loads of «last one!» On most of the masks! At this point no need to be open! It was better when it was bigger, more animatronics, wider selection, and over all better. I’ll still come here, but I’ll only come here if I need fake fangs or anything else like contact lenses or a good mask! Other then that… Go to spirit Halloween or the dollar store next door!

We were so less than impressed with this store. We saw it on the Travel Channel and I love everything Halloween so my boyfriend thought we should go. We came from Connecticut only to find out the store is now about ¼ of what it was on the show. Absolutely nothing like they showed. For a store that’s up year round, you’d think they would do more with the props. We ended up in the Providence mall the same day which had a pop up Halloween store that was light years better than this outlet. Don’t waste your time if you saw it on TV, it’s nothing more than a Party City, maybe even worse. Not to mention 50 bucks for cheapy generic costumes? Is that the going rate now? Yikes.

Went in the offseason of Halloween, store was highly disorganized, décor and costumes were scattered about the store, no animatronics were on. Overall great store with great potential I am sure it’s 5 star location in season but some places should be halloween all year around!

On Halloween there was no ‘party’, no trick or treating and no goody bag. We were allowed ONE piece of candy. Here is the text from the link they posted on the T&G. It’s also on their web site. Many families dressed up themselves and the children for trick or treating as advertised. There was no trick or treating. When I asked two people working in the store about it, one said she had never heard anything about it, and the other said we could have one piece of candy(for three of us!). I asked them to look up the ad on T&G and they refused. There were no ‘goody bags’. Marketing hyperbole. Here’s the text from the link. Bam! This placed upped the anty this year by creating a sort of Circus sideshow atmosphere, if you haven’t been here in a while check it out, the remodel is so much better than it was. If all you know of halloween shops are those awful Spirit stores that pop up like gypsies in a werewolf movie you are really missing out. Great for the Halloween season!

Pretty much a bigger than normal Halloween store. They have tons of costumes, but they also seem to specialize in really crazy Halloween decorations(as in, decorations that cost thousands of dollars). The entrance is like going through a Haunted House which is definitely fun. Not sure I’d go back only because it’s a far drive from my house. But it was cool!

I am not sure how I ended up here. It was on my way back from a trip to Maine. There is too much sh&! in this place. It’s constant canned screams, jittery monsters popping out of toilets and tombstones. It’s been a long time since I felt that overstimulated. Setting all their animatronic decors aside, the costume selection was on par with other places. And I don’t know about other guys, but trying to find a packaged men’s costume is always dissatisfying.

This is the coolest store around. I’m a huge Halloween fan so I think this place is a fantastic destination twelve months out of the year. It’s packed with the coolest stuff and has an awesome fun vibe. You’ve got to stop by and check out this awesome Worcester landmark!

If you didnt have a migraine before you went in there you are most deffinitly going to have one after you leave. this place is a noisy weird place. It does have all the costumes you need and props, but it is pretty expensive, loud, and you have to walk through a haunted house entryway to get into the store, was that really necessary???

The selection is extensive, no doubt. I love going there and can’t get enough that time of year. It’s FUN! To follow Kristin G’s lead: +1 for variety of product overall — GOODSTUFFALLOVERTHEPLACE +1 for service — the staff is generally all really helpful and really nice +1 for fun factor — totally gets you in the«zone» +1 for the discount room — you can snag some sweet deals if you look hard enough! +2 for the creepy front entrance around Halloween. Totally scares the dickens out of you! Love it! +1 for the creepo factor of the store… believe it or not, it makes going there a destination and trip, not an errand. –1 for price — I find a lot of their items to be overpriced and high –1 for lack of low end decorative items and real variety so you can really go bonkers decorating your house. They have an «ok» amount, but not the extensive selection I’d like to see(or expect). –1 for inability to try things on. They dont want you trying on wigs(makes sense, but still sucks), and they need to supervise people trying on costumes. that’s a little offputting to me. Overall, despite the negatives, I still go every year and look forward to my annual pilgrimage. You should too. :)

If you need anything costume-related, Halloween outlet is the place to go. No matter what time of year, Halloween outlet has what you’re looking for. They have an entire wall of wigs, they do costume rentals, and have a ton of miscellaneous items hanging around. They also have a big bin of Styrofoam mannequin heads, which I could not find anywhere else. Another reviewer said that it is «in a very bad part of Worcester», and that is completely untrue.(I suppose if you’ve never been to Worcester or left your small rural town your entire life, it might seem intimidating.) It’s located very near the very nicely-maintained community college, two streets over is a very nice residential neighborhood. It’s perfect safe and very nice. It’s easy to get to off of the highway, it’s easy to find(look for the giant sign!) and it’s a ton of fun. There’s ample parking in the lot, unless you go the weekend before Halloween, in which case they have a bunch of people directing traffic and telling you where to park.(There’s an overflow lot in the back.)

I visited this shop because I am a hardcore halloween addict. nothing brightens the gloomy fall for me like covering myself in greasepaint or fake blood and getting my halloween self on. I heard about this place randomly and decided to check it out. It’s not the Halloween Mecca I was hoping for, but it’s pretty awesome. More makeup than the Garment District, about the same amount of pre packaged costumes as you’ll find in an iSpirit store(probably more) and a TON of animatronic gizmos that you can buy if you are either going to have the most hardcore halloween party ever, or are opening a haunted house of your very own. Walking through the store is def on par with wandering around the relatively lame and tame haunted houses of Salem, without having to spend the cash. The makeup selection was awesome, with traditional one-off halloween makeup packages in addition to an extensive selection of stage and professional grade stuff. They have a huge wig selection, a friendly staff, an enormous selection of costumes you can rent, just in general a ton of stuff. A lot of it was more generic than I was hoping for, but overall I was impressed. I was not impressed with the silly maze you have to walk through to get in there, but I’m guessing that’s more for the kids.

Oh my… I visited this place only after seeing on the Travel Channel as one of the biggest Halloween stores in America. They were exactly right! It is situated in a very bad part of Worcester off Boylston St near the Greendale Mall and it is in an old abandoned building. It is huge!!! It even has people directing traffic it is so busy. The place has a kids area for the faint of heart but has a main entrance that will even scare the bejesus out of you! The place is loaded with every single type of Halloween thing you could imagine including hundreds of props that are decorating the place! It is unreal and a must see! I could not believe my eyes that this place has so many masks and even a rental costume area. AWESOME!!!

OK. So I went here this weekend for the first time in YEARS, and I feel like the place has totally changed. In college, this place was kind of a mecca– we’d go here every year! But this year it seemed less special, and more of a standard Halloween store. + 1 star just for the WIGS. There were seriously at least a hundered different wigs to choose from, all colors and lengths. +1 for the masks– great mask selection. +1 for the staff– the place was extremely well staffed, especially since it was Saturday and the place was absolutely mobbed with people. +1 for the haunted corridor on the way in– defintiely gets you in the mood for Halloween shopping. +1 for the parking– the place was crammed with people, but workers were out in the lot directing people to spots. –1 for the actual costume selection! Unless you want to drop HUNDREDS of dollars on a mascot costume of a deluxe Hellrasier costume, you’re left with pretty much what any standard Halloween store/iparty would have. –1 for the prices. The place was really expensive, overall. Overall– if you happen to be in the area, it’s worth the trip. It’s a family owned place, and it’s pretty famous in the Worcester area. Be prepared for mobs of people and high prices, though!
