Crappy place that is in the pockets of our local politicians. The neighborhood they are in is already saturated with liquor stores and they still got the nod from the city. Must be nice!

Stopped at the store on W Boylston Rd. First time in the store. The interior of the shop is very well laid out. Nice racks and everything is well labled. We were the only people in the store at the time and there were 3 employees behind the counter. We did have some idea of what we were looking for and what we liked but at no time were we asked if we needed any help selecting a wine of offered a tasting. We found the selection a bit better then what you may find elsewhere but the prices ran 10−15% higher then other shops. I expected a shop of this type to offer selection advise and tastings but they did not. We purchased 4 bottles of wine and all that was said by the clerk was«if you buy 2 more you get a 10% discount». I may stop again but would not recommend at this time.

fist off bravo to Sugar J’s review For being the worst review on Unilocal in the history of ever. Nothing says a fair, smart, Unilocal reviewer like first trashing the whole city of Worcester before giving your fair review of a family owned business(sorry princess you cant Unilocal review a city yet, awwww) second(I threw up in my mouth when you criticized a liqure store for no carrying your nasty ass goose liver?!) I Unilocal review, your Unilocal review, one star Eek! Methinks not. Ok I feel better now, any who the idea of reviewing a liqueur store is a bit like reviewing a gas station: price is driven by location… and SERVICE? come on people! Some crack head with a gun can run in any min. and rob the joint, I personally not expecting some one to kiss my ass when I’m shopping for a bottle of scotch. I came on to let all my fellow Unilocalers know that this place does the biggest freest wine tasting in New England. We drive into Worcester just for their biggest one in November there are like 40 tables, of some of the best wine distributors in the area. Check there website they have a ton of mini tasting in their tasting room weekly. So, big selection, fair pricing, and huge free wine tasting, come on as good as it gets.

Excellent selection of whiskey and gourmet chocolates. Craft beer selection is unparalleled in Worcester. The only negative is that the prices are a bit on the steep side, but the variety makes up for it. We’ve been fans since they opened a couple of years ago, and it it is great to see how involved with the community KJ Barrons has gotten.

We went in here twice.(While«stuck» in this area while trying to unload our home, baddddd move buying here) Anyway, while stuck here, we do try to discover cool places(hard task). I personally prefer The Wine Vine(near Highland Street) because the couple that own it bend over backwards to please their customers !(BTW, The Wine Vine has an assortment of pâté’, caviar, cheeses, it is very well stocked. Very gourmet.). BUTKJ Barrons has the WORST attitude and even worse service ! They could not care less to help you find anything in their store. The first time, we asked for pâté’. OMG you’d think I had asked for something unheard of ! Actually, they WERE very perplexed, like they did not even know what pâté’ was. Of course, NO, they did not carry it. I believe the owner was there too(a portly blonde woman and I only say this to describe her, not to offend) and even SHE seemed confused and basically could not care less about what we were looking for. We looked at the selection of cheeses and wines, then left. The second time(ANDBELIEVEME, LASTTIME !) we did buy a bottle of Chablis and some cheeses and crackers. When we paid, there was not even a «thank you». How rude. My advice? AVOID. Go elsewhere where your business is appreciated. Nobody needs this dec;asse’ service!

I’m surprised nobody has reviewed this store yet. Kj’s is an excellent boutique wine/liquor shop at the rotary in front of Union Station. They have their own parking lot, so parking is easy. Kj’s has a huge selection of wines, both domestic and imports. They also have a seperate tasting room which is a great idea. The interior is clean and tastefully decorated. They sell sparkling wines(Champagne, Cava, etc) and liquors that they might not carry at other places. While this is mainly a wine store, they do a good job of offering other liquids. They have a good cheese selection as well. And they are always offering free tastes of the cheeses. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about everything in the store. If you live in the area, definitely worth stopping in. One of the finer wine shops in the area.
