Holy crap. This is the real deal. Chicken shawarma plate — good quality chicken, incredible homemade sauces(garlic sauce!), Turkish coffee, and though it’s not made here the baklava they serve is fantastic, crispy on the outside, gooey in the middle, not too sweet. Prices are so cheap and the owner is very kind.

Went for the first time yesterday based on Unilocal reviews and was not dissapointed! I got a mixed shawarma plate and everything was great! Next time I’ll probably skip the chicken though, because the beef was much more tender and flavorful. the chicken wasn’t bad, but it’s not a fair comparison. the baklava was outstanding also.

In a word: unparalleled. I give the Shawarma Palace five stars for the beef/lamb alone, but the staff is absolutely wonderful. And I don’t even need to mention the baklava. My wife and I have moved across the country and searched for the best shawarma along the way. Here, we finally found it.

I found this place here on Unilocal while craving shawarma like a mad woman. I haven’t found any in Massachusetts that was anything to talk about until now. We ordered shawarma plates and falafel. Charlie is a fantastic cook & his hospitality was wonderful. Some locals stopped in for coffee and we all had a great chat. We had a toddler with us and everyone paid attention to her and Charlie gave her a treat, just because. It was wonderful food and a wonderful experience. We will become regulars!

I’m not a native of the area, but really wanted to try this place out. I came in on a Friday evening jet lagged and hungry. Charles, the owner, was extremely friendly and welcoming. He was patient and understanding when we asked for clarification on some of the food on the menu. Although we traveled thousands of miles away from home, the food at Shawarma Palace gave us a homey feel. I loved the garlic yogurt sauce and mujadara. Would definitely recommend!

The place is small, but the food is good and the treatment is great. I ordered Mix Shawarma plate and it was delicious. The Mix Shawarma plate includes beef and chicken Shawarma, rice, salad, hummus, mtabbal and mthawamah(garlic dipping) with a small piece of bread.

My family and I had a fantastic experience at Shawarma Palace. We found the establishment on Unilocal and are happy we swung by on our trip through MA. If you’re not discouraged by the hole-in-the-wall venue, you’ll be more than satisfied with the food and service. The owner broke down the menu and we eagerly ordered their signature Shawafel. I was impressed with the balance and cohesiveness of the platter. The ample portions were very satisfying and were met with a complimentary piece of baklava. We will definitely be coming back!

Generally I’m not a big fan of shawarma, preferring the real meat of lamb or beef or chicken. But this was particularly good for shwarma, very well seasoned and flavorful. The chef was very friendly and really paying attention to me as a customer and what I was interested in knowing. He gave me a really good description of the food, even a little background on it as an ethnic dish and what options are available in terms of seasoning and some detail on the side orders.

I was visiting Worcester for work and I was really hungry for a shawarma wrap and ended up here. And boy am I happy that I did! The owner was very kind and welcoming. I was able to order a chicken shawarma sandwich, the hummus and pita chips and was in and out in about 7 minutes. For the portion size and quality of my meal, you definitely get your money’s worth. This is very comparable to my other favorite place in Boston called Shawarma Falafel. If I’m in town again I will certainly be back!

The food is incredible. The kibbeh and beef shawarma are so incredibly tender, moist, and full of amazing flavor. The homemade hummus and baba ganoush are fresh and light, but also slightly savory. My absolute favorite is the homemade garlic paste Charlie makes. It’s so simple(primarily garlic and sesame oil), but it’s so rich and refreshing. And don’t forget the other fun sides of falafel, this pita bread with herbs scattered across it(I know I’m doing it an injustice with this insufficient description, but it’s great), spinach pies — it’s all good! And I haven’t even gotten to how lovely the owner Charlie is. He is such a pleasant, sweet individual — you will certainly leave with a smile after chatting with him. After eating here … I can die happy.

I visited Shawarma Palace on a whim on Friday 8÷7÷2015 and then again on 8÷21÷2015 after visiting the Worcester Art Museum. The first visit was wanting to go somewhere that was a little independently owned middle eastern restaurant nearby, but the second was specifically to make it a part of our night. The first Friday(8⁄7), I had remembered seeing a shawarma restaurant off the highway once, and did a quick Google to see if I could figure out where it was. There were six of us in our party: three thirtyish diners, one picky six year old, one three year old, and one infant. It turns out that this establishment was not the one I thought it was, but I was sincerely surprised and impressed with what we ended up getting. The owner Charlie and his son were working, and their demeanor, professionalism, warmth, and overall friendliness were incredible. We felt like we were entering Charlie’s personal kitchen, and we were welcomed with open arms. They were interested with our family, our day, and what we wanted to order. He also extended our order by bringing out some other dishes to try that we may not be familiar with at no charge since it was our first time at his restaurant. We ordered Hummus, Falafel, Spinach pie, Meat pie, grape leaves, a chicken shawarma wrap, and two shawarma mix plates. He also brought us a plate of Babaganouj. He also gave our picky six year old a little bag of cheetos because he wasn’t interested in the food. The food and the atmosphere were perfect, and we thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the dinner. The hummus and babaganouj were incredibly fresh — and I had never had babaganouj that was first charred on the grill before making the purée and it was smoky and incredible. The shawarma plates /wrap were fresh, creamy, flavorful, and literally overflowing with food. I was able to finish mine, but no one else in the party could and we brought leftovers home. The whole order with drinks was about forty dollars, an incredible buy for the masterful cooking and Lebanese warmth. Tonight, we visited again with two adults, the infant, and the picky six year old again. Charlie did not disappoint. We ordered two shawarma mix plates and falafel. Again, he was generous, warm, and wanted every one of us to be happy. He made something special for the baby and the picky six year old, and even entertained all of us with his friendly banter and true investment in us. We will definitely be visiting Shawarma Palace whenever we are in Worcester. A true gem.

When it comes to Lebanese food, my wife and I are spoiled with nearly a decade of East Side Pocket’s delicious wraps on College Hill and Oasis on Broad Street. If you’re ever in Providence, you have to stop in for a bite. To say we are imbued with high standards is more a testament to the quality(and price) of their food than anything else. So upon leaving Providence, we feared there would always be a lingering void every time we ate anywhere else to get our falafel fix. With such high standards in mind, it is with high regard when I say that Shawarma Palace offers an excellent selection of fresh, authentic Lebanese food. You can’t go wrong with their chicken and beef shawarma wraps(sandwiches, he calls them) and plates. The kibbeh is just so savory and triggers all kinds of euphoric feelings on your taste buds. They have fresh hummus and other side dishes to take home and they serve a very unique style of baklava that Charles(the owner) orders from Canada every week that’s made with rose water instead of the honey-covered variation most are accustomed to. The portions are a little smaller and the falafel is a little drier than East Side’s, but the prices are also cheaper so that can be forgiven. All in all, a real treat to have just a few blocks away from our apartment and across the street from city hall. We will definitely be coming here often.
