After previously purchasing a LivingSocial deal for $ 39(worth«$ 236»), two men from Superior Air Duct Cleaning(also known as USA Air Care, previously known as America Air Care) cleaned my air ducts on February 6, 2016. There were a plethora of problems but the most disconcerting problems were that I was overcharged $ 360 for two«additional» mains as well as $ 300 for chemical/powder(sanitizer & Mildicide). I was charged over $ 1,200 from USA Air Care/Superior Air Cleaning. Afterwards I learned that other companies would have only charged me about $ 300 and not put in harmful chemicals into my air ducts. On March 25th, Mackenzie Heating & Cooling Inc came to my house to give me a quote to clean my air ducts.(The quote was for $ 299.) They saw that USA Air Care/Superior Air Duct Cleaning charged for four mains. There are only two mains in my house. The first main was covered with my LivingSocial deal. I paid $ 165 for the second main. I paid $ 360 for two mains that do not exist. Because of the chemical/powder used in my vents($ 300), I was unable to live in my house for two weeks because it was too difficult to breathe. Upon my research, I have found that reputable air duct cleaning companies do not put any powder/chemical into air ducts. Both the EPA and the NADCA recommend against the use of potentially harmful chemicals inside air ducts. Biocides and antimicrobial treatments are not good, since the chemicals may cause more harm than good to one’s health. No chemicals are currently registered with the EPA for use inside ductwork.

Living Social Coupon is a means to get into your home and upsell. If you do not buy the upsell, they will not honor the coupon. It then essentially becomes a $ 39 charge for an estimate. Call a reputable vendor with a brand name for this service and avoid this company.

Purchased coupon on groupon for 49.00 dollars for whole house vent cleaning, first they canceled first appointment, then they show up late and after looking at my system they advised me that groupon had written up the cleaning proposal wrong that it didn’t cover the whole house and that it would cost more money, they knew before they came out I had a groupon coupon, they wasted my time I took a day off of work called company trwice no response. It sounds like a scam stay away.

If you purchased an Amazon Local deal with this company for Air Duct cleaning… IT’S A SCAM! They claim you get $ 239.00 worth of services for $ 39.00. That is just an excuse for them to get into your home and tell you the deal they offered isn’t good and for a better deal you need to spend $ 300.00 more for the real good service. Basically he is selling a crappy service with hopes to upsell you. If you refuse or question him he gets annoyed. Also the deal states you get unlimited duct cleaning. He attempted to charge us an additional $ 29.00 for all vents in the house. Before he left, he said we owed him $ 80.00 for work performed. Call Amazon Local and cancel if you purchased this«deal!!!
