Total Concept Hair & Nail Salons

The people were friendly, but the salon was not clean. The station where I had my haircut wasn’t cleaned from the previous cut and the cloth/​apron they put on me had hair all over it from a short gray cut (I have long dark hair). Looking down and seeing hair that wasn’t mine was upsetting. The stylist didn’t talk to me, which I’m fine with, and she did a nice job blow-​drying my hair. I was hoping for a better first time experience.

Neg was amazing! I had no idea what I wanted to do with my ombré, and I was terrified that it would look bad on me. I trusted her and she gave me the perfect color and I get compliments on my ombré everywhere! She also did my sister’s hair which was a much longer process because she has very thick hair and had highlights which needed to be taken out before the ombré was in. Long story short: my sister looks absolutely gorgeous with her hair and it is actually making her want to go lighter! Not to mention, our haircuts are perfect!!! No one ever gets our cuts right! Going to Neg forever!

I came here based on a recommendation from my mom who loved her groupon for a cut and color, they even gave her complimentary highlights and she loved it all. The place looks very nice and the owners are very welcoming.
I went with a groupon for a blowout and had an awful experience. The «woman» didn’t ask my name, how I like it styled, if I wanted product/​spray or where I parted my hair. All extremely standard stuff for a simple blowout. She got water all over my face while washing my hair, she was pulling my hair throughout the blowout (and I’m not sensitive at all!) and I sat there quiet regardless. Extremely rude, and definitely ready to go home (my appointment was 3:45 on a Saturday).
I will be back because of my moms experience and I will seek out another stylist. I’m a believer in second chances!
Word to the wise though, people who use groupons are testing out your service! I have been looking for a new salon and it would have been very easy to sway me!

I moved to Wyckoff recently and did not know where to begin on finding a new salon. I chose Total Concept because it was very close to my home, it had good reviews, and the prices are affordable. I had an appointment with Danielle, and I was very happy with her professionalism and with my haircut. She took the time to really study my hair and asked a lot of questions, which gave me confidence that she was going to do a great job. She took the time to make sure that I would be happy. The salon is really nice and very welcoming. Danielle has found herself a new client in me. I will certainly be going back!

I have been going to Total Concept since I was a little girl, and it’s consistency paired with it’s warm and talented staff is what keeps me coming back. Whether its a cut, trim, color, wax etc. they never disappoint. I also come here for all my styling products. A little pricy, but worth it. Ladies if you’re looking for a fabulous blow out for a night out, try Allison. She’s amazing!
