History

Established in 1985.

Bob Chalmers, President of Chalmers Security, Inc., graduated from Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA in 1966 from the carpentry program. His interests changed to electronics and Bob started working in the alarm industry in 1966 with Wells Fargo Alarm Services as a technician helper.

He advanced to technician level, installing burglar and fire alarms throughout his hometown of Philadelphia. After working in every phase of the business, Bob started his own company and founded Chalmers Security Systems in 1985. In 1995, Bob’s son Jon joined him in the business and is now Vice President.

Chalmers Security Systems now serves over 3,000 accounts in the Tri State area.
