In the Gaming Realm you will find Magic, Pokemon, roleplaying games and supplements, Heroclix, Pathfinder, Star Wars, Yu-​Gi-​Oh, Risk, Axis & Allied, + more. Marvel, DC, Image, IDW, and many more publishers create the comics, graphic novels, and characters that populate this store. Wizards of the Coast, Wizkids, Mayfair, and Steve Jackson are a few of the game producers represented here.

We have had close to 25 years of helping girlfriends, grandmothers, wives, husbands, brothers and more caring individuals find the right gift for a special occasion or rainy day. Archie, Superman, Wolverine and My Little Pony is often just the right thing to make a bad day much better. Fighting Zombies or Lex Luthor we know Ash from Kal-​El.

History

Established in 1991.

This store location was the first permanent retail endeavor of The Pressure Releases Corporation. Beginning with a small publication known as «The Earth» that was published regularly in the early 1980’s and irregularly into the 90’s. There was a time when The Earth was an independent publication, but was continued in the corporation when the business was incorporated in the latter part of the 80’s.

The Corporation moved into the service industry in support of Mayo Medical Laboratories, Butterworth, St. Mary’s, and other hospitals in the Grand Rapids area and wider State of Michigan. Retail sales were first made at the Hispanic Festival of Grand Rapids and at other Michigan festivals/​markets and a comic show.

The Outer Limits first opened at 1120 Burton SW in 1991. Robin II was the first major event at The Outer Limits in 1991. This was followed by Rob Liefeld’s Youngblood, MacFarlane’s Spawn, and the massive media event known as The Death of Superman. Original Sin starts now.

Manager

Dan has enjoyed learning, teaching, and playing games most of his life. He also enjoys literature, the construction of a good story, and understanding the craft that goes into both the art of the sketch and the art of the written word. All of these things are expressed in the product available at The Outer Limits. Dan has been especially good helping individuals find the game, comic, graphic novel, or book that will bring them reading, gaming, or creative satisfaction.
