History
Established in 1825.
Built as a private residence in 1820, the mansion soon became the famous Sears Hotel, a stagecoach stop between Plymouth and Provincetown. Thoreau is said to have stayed here, and a historian tells us that the magnificent 4-poster bed in the Sears Room once belonged to Queen Victoria herself!
