Food was ok, beans and slaw were great. The pork was dry, so was the chicken. Overall I would say middle of the road.

Let me preface by saying it appears we showed up just after the lunch rush(about 1 pm), so our experience may not be typical. It took us 56 minutes to get 2 sandwiches and fries. Service was friendly and they apologized for the wait., but it was way too long and they forgot a side and had to bring it an additional 10 mins later. Building appeared to be a dressed up double wide trailer and I observed them fetching my soda from what looks like a college dorm room fridge. It’s eclectic, to say the least. Food was average. I had a catfish sandwich that was nicely seasoned with homemade tartar sauce, but the filet was thin and dry with heavy crust. Home cut fries that were undercooked. Bread was out of a bag, but fresh. Better places to eat in town in my experience, but plenty worse

My family was passing through Yazoo City and gave this place a try based on online reviews. More than worth the stop, even if the GPS tried to send us down a railroad track to get there. The fried catfish was among the best I have ever had, and I’ve been eating catfish for more than 40 years. My wife enjoyed the pulled pork. And the sweet tea was perfect.

Have you ever had catfish so good that using tauter sause might insult the fish? This Catfish is that good. I have had the ribs on two other trips to Clancy’s and it would have been easy to just get them, they are fall off the bone meaty smoked ribs. But I had read a review about the catfish so I had to give the catfish a try and I was not disappointed. I also had the gumbo and I loved the pulled pork in the gumbo it is a nice BBQ’ers twist on great dish. I will be adding the gumbo to every order. So if you are ever in the area of Yazoo City head over there order what ever your favorite it just might be the best you have ever had.

What a great example of a southern restaurant! Great food and service! I know it’s good because picking what to order is the hardest decision of my life it seems! Their catfish is unlike any other and comes with wonderful sides! The Clancy burger is great when I need to order and pick up lunch!

The best restaurant in Yazoo City. The catfish is the best I have ever had. I been knowing the owners since I was a kid and they take pride in the food. The service is awesome and the price is really good.
