Moved to the present location in a 1905 building Downtown in January, 2013.

I’ve been about a half dozen times and Tom’s is always a hit with the whole family. I love the hamburger steak, mashed potatoes, and butter beans. The kids devoured the grilled cheese and chicken strips. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. I like to order a dozen tamales to go. They are great too.

A great stop for lunch today on our return to Little Rock from Perdido Key. Four of us ordered three different items, two of us got the same thing. All of us agreed the food was great. All the positive reviews were confirmed by our party. I’m glad we decide to bypass Jackson and wait to eat in Yazoo City!

Great menu and friendly, helpful staff. I had the basic hamburger and asked for a little pimento cheese, and they didn’t even have to call a committee meeting about it. My burger was a little on the dry side, but everything was fine otherwise.

Stopped for lunch on a Saturday on our way back to Arkansas after a vacation on the Alabama shore. Very tasty Chivito sandwich, very good burger, appetizing Main Street sandwich, excellent fries, pleasant and attractive décor and fast, friendly service. Even chatted with Tom himself! Beware the hours… call ahead, like we did, to be sure! Total thumbs up from this hungry traveling family! Great alternative to chain food just moments away from Highway 49!

Stopped by for lunch on my way through town. Had the meatloaf plate lunch. The meatloaf and sides were very good. Service was fast and friendly. I’ll be stop by again the next time I’m in town.

Why isn’t this place rated higher?
Driving through town I noticed this place on Unilocal.Upon entering the establishment I found a cozy, friendly café with a large menu and a daily blue plate special.
From BLTs to pimento cheese sandwiches to meatloaf, this place had it all. A good family menu, as they have everything from sandwiches to chicken fingers (for the kids).
I had the brisket sandwich, it was excellent, and a side of potato salad. They have a ton of sides choose from, all so fresh and delicious.
The hardest thing about this place, is deciding what to order. I’ll definitely be back.
Family-​friendly, great food, friendly staff, and they accept credit cards. A great find!

Here on business, and all 10 of us went to Tom’s yesterday. The food was fabulous! there were about 7 plate lunch options with homecooked veggies and homemade desserts. I would venture to say this is the best place for lunch in Yazoo City. I wish we would be here long enough to try their dinner menu. It was so good that the whole crew is gong back for lunch today.

Excellent in all areas– a terrific little hidden gem in tiny Yazoo City. Tom’s serves lunch, which has always been delicious– and now they offer dinner service on the weekend. Our mussels were wonderful in a light garlicky white wine stock, and our steaks were cooked to perfection. We can’t wait to go back for dinner!
