History

Established in 1974.

Randy Longnecker, owner of J & I Power Equipment, has continued the family tradition of successfully managing an outdoor power equipment dealership. In the early 1970’s J & I originally started as a saw filing business. In 1974 Randy’s father, Virgil, and a business associate bought the saw filing business. In 1976 Randy joined the operation and has built the business to what it is today. Randy, his wife Lori, and their three children Angela, Greg, and Brent share in a commitment to excellence both with products and customer service. It is not uncommon to see one or more of Randy & Lori’s 9 grandchildren helping out at the store. In 2006 The Longneckers’ opened a second location in Yelm, Wa. J & I Power Equipment only sells quality products and carries a large assortment of parts as well as having a top notch service department.

Josh has been a part of J & I Power Equipment since 2010. Josh is a local, born and raised in Rainier, WA. His professional background includes customer service, welding & fabrication, and several years as a diesel mechanic. His knowledge of engines, customer service skills, work ethic, leadership qualities, community ties, & positive attitude has made Josh one of J & I’s most valuable employees.
