Yelm Cinemas At Prairie Park

The best theater around! Reclining seats, bottomless soda and popcorn and almost $ 5 less per ticket than other local theaters! Not to mention concessions are cheaper too! We live in Elk Plain and we no longer go to Lakewood or Puyallup for movies. The attached
Uptown lounge is perfect for date night. Great food and drinks and they tell you when your movie is starting!

Beautifully renovated theater. I love how you can buy your tickets online and know exactly what seats you’ll be sitting in ahead of time. The concessions are great, lots of fresh popcorn with a great selection of topping flavors. Super clean, there’s always someone sweeping and neatening up. And the best… those seats! Super comfy reclining seats, and if you choose seats in the back row you get a tray table, too. Going to the movies doesn’t get any better for me!

I love the upgrade Yelm theatre has gotten. Chairs are super comfy, you can buy tickets ahead of time if somethings sold out which is super convenient!

Amazing experience both times I have gone so far, very comfortable and clean! Never thought we would find such a nice theatre in such a small town

Clean theater with awesome comfy reclining seats…

Awesome theater, recently remodeled and done very well. The options to gave dinner or a drink in the lounge side adds a new dimension to theater going. The theater itself is very nice and having electronic recliners makes the experience fun and very comfortable. Theater sizes are different based on new to older films.
Another great thing about Yelm theater is their app, you can find your movie pick your seats. Then your phone acts as your tickets and has a rewards part that eventually will give you a small discount. Great place for the entire family and worth the 45 minute drive each way from the house. Give them a ahot!

I honestly have mixed feelings. On one end my husband and I absolutely love this theater because of the reclining seats and the self serve popcorn. But I haven’t figured out if I like the assigned seating yet. Typically in the larger theaters you will go in, look around and pick who you want to sit by. With assigned seats you really don’t know who you’ll be sitting next to until everyone gets there. Our first visit here was awful because an overweight guy sat next to us and he SMELLED. It definitely ruined our experience. We’ve been a couple other times and haven’t had a problem so hopefully it was an isolated incident. Wear deodorant people!

Love the new recliner seats and self serve Popcorn and soda. Reserved seating is great with the app. Always clean. Would be nice to order from Uptown and bring food into movie. Cashier was rude when asked.

Great theater, comfy seats, clean and reasonable prices. Would like to see more concessions to choose from and maybe a few more places to sit while waiting for theater door to open. We will be back!

Way awesome theatre! Seats are so comfy! I feel like if they had a little more variety in the snacks department they would be a 5 star for sure!

I have loved having a theatre so close in yelm. The only downside to coming here has been it has been quite cold the last two movies I have seen here.

This is the best theater, I am from the east coast and this compares to nothing back home. It is very cozy, nice plus comfortable. I love how there is only 15 – 20 seats per theater and if you order online you can pick your seats! The prices are awesome too! Favorite theater!

My FAVORITE theater hands down! We used to drive into Lacey to go to the Martin but with this awesome theater with their leather reclining seats, small feel but BIG HUGE SCREENS that plays all the latest great movies, why go anywhere else? They have 8 screens and the theaters range from large to intimate as the recliners take up a lot of space so not as many seats in each of the theaters which is OK because i love the comfort and space of the recliners! And you can reserve your seats for your favorite show online or at the theater! LOVE THAT! Now with the new restraunt and lounge opened, its my favorite date night place all together! :) All in one place!

Uptown Lounge is hitting it off! Great place to hang out. Awesome staff & food! The Garcianos will be back. Sarah was an awesome server!

Wow they really knocked it out of the park with the remodel! Such a classy and fresh building now. Wonderful seats in the theatre and the addition of the Uptown Lounge is amazing. Truly you could go there for just the food and cocktails/​beer. We along with friends will be back.

We came to lunch to the Yelm cinema Uptown Lounge and my expectations were blow out of the water. I figured it was going to be a quite small town feel with not much going one; I was wrong. The modern architecture and the warm urban feel makes you feel right at home. The food was fantastic. I had the Line caught cod and steak fries and my fiancé had the American Sliders. The quality and taste were amazing. On top of our wonderful experience, we meant with one of the designers who was greeting customers with friendly conversation. We will certainly be recommending and coming back many times again.

Love the new recliner chairs! Most rooms are a bit on the small side but other than that love it! Feels like I’m laying at home watching movies. Can’t wait to see the remodel of the ticket area and concessions. Also excited to try out their uptown lounge menu.

Let’s start out with the fact that their new chairs are amazing!!! Made a great movie experience but unfortunately they are control freaks in the way that they check all purses and claim that it is about gun control. We all know that is not the truth. If that was the case they would have metal detectors and pat down the gentlemen but no they just want to look inside all the woman’s purses to make sure your not getting away with candy in your purse. It made the experience feel so controlled and just made it not fun. Overall all I could think about was how greed has obviously made them go crazy into thinking people would actually feel comfortable with the three options they give you!
This is the exact options the lady at the ticket collection both gives you.
1. Leave your purse in your car.
-(Um no could get stolen)
2. They can take your purse and lock it up for you.
-(um no don’t trust your employees)
3. Open your bag and show them what’s inside.
-(Um rude how do you think you have the right to look inside a woman’s purse)
Some people might not find this offensive, but I just feel to controlled I won’t be going back to this theater.

Loved this theater when I first went and still do. I would just wait until they finish the remodel to buy drinks/​snacks. But this is a great cinema and not as packed and nasty as other movie theaters in puyallup/​Lakewood. I will definitely be making this our movie theater whenever we go out. :)
