What a rip off this store is. They have Going out of business signs up saying discounts of 50%, 60%, and 70% but when you go inside the prices are outrageous. Two or three times the price of other local places. Don’t bother going here. Go to Bob’s Discount Furniture down the street.
This is about the 4^th time they are going out of business. They just keep changing the name of the place.

The worst furniture store I have ever dealt with. I purchased a dining room table and chairs from Legacy Furniture, and should have known from the beginning that this was going to be a disaster. The salesman was very sleazy and over-​did it with calling me «Sweetheart» (he was also definitely high on pain medication). I really loved the set and I wanted to buy it, so I went ahead with the purchase. I explained to the salesman that I would prefer to have it delivered on Columbus Day since my boyfriend would be home to accept the delivery, and he assured me over and over again that it wouldn’t be a problem.
I never received a phone call before the promised delivery date, and I called Columbus Day morning to confirm a delivery time. They told me that there was no way that they could deliver the furniture that day because they did not receive it from the manufacturer yet. I asked why someone did not call me to inform me ahead of time, and they simply said, «Yeah, someone probably should have called you.» Well, thanks a lot! They said to me, «We will definitely have it to you by Tuesday or Wednesday», which means that either my boyfriend or myself would have to take time off of work to be home to accept the delivery. They said they would refund me the $ 50 delivery charge once the furniture was delivered since they dropped the ball with notifying me. I had a feeling it was not going to work out, and I should have just cancelled the order right then and there, but instead, I decided to give them another shot.
Tuesday– Nothing. Wednesday– Nothing. I called again Wednesday afternoon, and the guy on the phone said that they will be delivering it to me on Thursday for sure. I was pretty annoyed at this point, and I told them that if it’s not delivered on Thursday between 5:00pm-8:00pm that I would just end up canceling the entire thing. Thursday morning, they left an automated voicemail confirming the delivery for that day between the correct times. The delivery guy arrived at 5:30 in a van (not a truck) and his buddy stayed in the car, turned off his phone, and left him to assemble the table and chairs by himself. My boyfriend helped the guy put together the table and chairs, just to help speed up the process and move things along.
I wish I had the words to accurately describe the mess that was left in my apartment after the assembly was done, but it was truly something that you had to see with your own eyes to understand the gravity and severity of this MESS. The delivery guy ended up bolting the cushions onto the chairs WITHOUT taking the plastic off! When he left, we thought the plastic would just come off easily, but instead, we had to turn each chair upside down (six of them) and carefully peel the plastic off with a knife to get as close to the edges as possible. This process alone took about an hour. Then, there were tiny balls of styrofoam left covering my entire living room, dining area, and kitchen. I mean, literally COVERING the floor, everywhere. I know I will be finding little styrofoam balls for the next few months, because they just float everywhere around the room when you try to collect them. Finally, the size of the cardboard box that it arrived in was just absurd. It was absolutely the biggest box I have ever seen, and I am not exaggerating. The delivery guy carelessly ripped through it, let the styrofoam balls fly, and then left the entire mess for us to clean up without taking the box out. Since we live in an apartment, we had to break down the box, piece by piece, so that our garbage service would accept it.
In the end, I must say that the dining room table and chairs look great and I am happy with the quality of them. HOWEVER, the blatant disregard for customer service, personal time, and professionalism, absolutely earned them a 1-​star Unilocal review from me. I would not recommend them or use them ever again. I guess we will see if I ever get this $ 50 refund for the delivery fee that I was promised, because it sure doesn’t seem like they can follow direction or honor agreements.

I needed a certain piece of furniture by a certain date due to company coming. I stated this several times to the owner who helped me. He reassured me that the piece would be delivered by the date needed (or earlier). It even said, «promise date» on the receipt. I asked him again if he was certain that it would be delivered no later than the «promise date.» He said, «Don’t worry. They will call you the day before to confirm delivery.» — Well, they never called, and I went to the store ASAP and told the owner that I needed an immediate refund, so I could go to another store that night to bring the needed piece home with me and put it together. The very sleezy man gave me a hard time and finally agreed to give me a refund; however, because I charged it, he said it would take 14 days to get it credited back– even though he had promised the delivery date knowing darn well that it would not be delivered by then! — Stay away from Legacy!!! They are con men and very very sleezy!!!

I thought the man who «helped» me was an idiot. I had some concerns about the width of the door to my apartment so I measured. Maybe he didn’t think a woman could correctly measure the door but he was showing me couches that obviously would not fit… and I know how they measure the couch for a door. I googled it. They measure the diagonal depth of the couch. He told me he would not be responsible for whether or not the couch came through the door. Then I went down the street to Raymour and Flanigan. I told them the measurements. The salesman carried something WITH him to measure the pieces. No problems. THEY are professionals. Couch came through the door just fine.
The man at Legacy didn’t care what couch he showed me. And I thought the one couch I saw was very overpriced.

These guy are con artists. I reported them to the cops and the officer I spoke with knew all about them. I cancelled a floor order before 24 hours and I can’t get my money back. I took nothing from them. I had to hire attorney to go after them. Don’t believe the positive reviews. They have a horrible reputation. I wish I knew that before I was scammed.

I would not recommend them. They do not accept returns. They gave store credit, then were pretty reluctant to accept their own store credit in payment. They gave us five dates for the delivery of an item, before it finally arrived. The deliverymen quickly and neatly put the piece together. The piece of furniture is nice, but all the drama that led to its arrival was very unprofessional and completely unnecessary.
