On several occasions food has not been fresh. Things such as cold cuts, fruits and prepared foods. Mostly I have just cut my losses and thrown the item away. This time I took the fruit back for an exchange, because it appeared fine through the plastic container but once it was opened and it had a funky odor and when further investigating there was slippery slime. We went to return it and with reluctance was giving a chance to exchange for another fruit. This was on Tuesday afternoon 4⁄21. Well today we went in the morning to buy a buttered roll and bagel and after items where paid for, the owner(the male) of the deli starts yelling and saying that he and his wife ate the mango along w his cook(spanish girl) and that we lied because the fruit was fine. Well I stated I had intestinal issues and couldn’t take a chance eating smelly fruit that was surely bad. He continued yelling and offending me stating that customers are wrong and they’re right and that he losses money exchanging items. I told him I understood but he couldn’t talk to customers like that and it is vital to his business that regardless customers are always right. Well him and his wife both yelled and insulted me and furthermore threw me out. Customers enter at your risk! If you ever find an item here not fresh you will get yelled at and they will not be nice. Health and food safety is inspecting them as well. All the care is about making $$$ and not providing fresh and good items!
