I love this restaurant. I highly recommend eating here, the service and the food are great as well as their prices. I hate to say it but the only thing I would not recommend is ordering the dish called Don Francisco. It’s a seafood platter with all steamed shellfish served over white rice. I was hoping for it to be seasoned. Unfortunately it was 100% bland. Other than that one dish, their menu is great. I haven’t tried any of their desserts other than the fried ice cream. I have order that every time. It’s awesome.

Brought the family here for a birthday night. The waiter was very attentive and paid attention to every member of the family with equal respect, including my 9 year old. I had a salad with steak that was very good, but a bit short on actual greens, kind of odd for a salad. Everyone’s food was very good, although I have to say the rice tasted as if sugar of some kind was added, and I didn’t care for the refried beans. We started with Guacamole which was made at our table, and I should have gone for the larger, 2 avocado size, as it was delicious! Birthday girl didn’t want it mentioned, but hey, I though they might give a free dessert, and they did! A very delicious Tres Leches slice with strawberries, an OMG moment! So Tip: Mention the birthday, you’ll be glad you did. Waiters will come to embarrass you, ha ha ha, a good time. Bathroom was beautiful and surprise, on the walk back to the table there is a hand sanitizer mounted to the wall in the restroom foyer. They get an extra star for that, and really everyone should agree. I have had many bad experiences in restaurants with the Central Avenue address, as their rent is very high and they typically rush you out so they can turn the table over. That was not so here. A very good experience!

Their guacamole is soooo yummy! Chimichangas, flautas, fajitas, quesadillas are all so good too! The drinks are good, much cheaper and stronger if you sit in the bar area. Since they do not do happy hour in the dining area! They would probably get more business if they did! Also, they do have some live entertainment which after a few drinks in your system can be a great time!

Five guys were given one tiny dish of salsa and a hand full of chips. I got a combination dish, three items, each one worse than the other. Food was so dry had to ask for sour cream & guacamole to make it edible. Not authentic Mexican by any stretch. Their service was also terribly slow. The atmosphere is fun and lively and probably a good place for drinks… just don’t eat their food!

Only eat the table side, custom made guacamole. We didn’t enjoy the food at all. Everything was bland and also way over priced.

Authentic mexican in New York. Love the atmosphere and food. Staff is friendly and kids are welcome. Burritos are excellent and my favorite is their fish tacos.

This place has changed a lot. I ordered a burrito they used to wrap it all up together, rice, beans, meat, salad. When I got this burrito not only was the meat(shredded chicken) salty that was all that was in the burrito then on the plate there was bland yellow rice and ½ a cup of refried beans. No guac, no sour cream. We had to constantly ask for water, chips, salsa. We had a party of 6 we were given one small dish of salsa and a basket of chips. The service was slow and the place was empty. I think they must have a new cook because the food was not as good as in years past. Not sure if it’s worth going back very disappointed.

We had a great meal here starting with very different nachos. The mojitos were great especially the mango ones. I had the chile relleneos and they were excellent. One of us had the mole chicken and another had the enchilada plate. The chips were greaseless and excellent. The service was superb. Highly recommend for non run of the mill Mexican food

Simply at the right place at the right time. Drinks Food ½ Service. ½. Music. Would consider going back.

This is the worse Mexican food I have ever eaten. The only good thing is the guacamole. The rice taste like box rice, and the prices are high. Food has no taste. The service and ambiance is nice, but that’s it. The food was much better a few years ago. It’s really disappointing now. No taste, and disgusting.

This restaurant is the single most disgusting restaurant in Yonkers. I came to eat here with my family and my uncle ordered a drink and I noticed something on it and when I looked closer it was a disgusting mark on the cup! Never come to eat at this place the food isn’t even that good. Seriously I hope more people saw this review before going to this restaurant. I wish giving no stars were an option because that’s what this place deserves.

My family and I tried this restaurant for the first time today and had a very enjoyable experience. The venue is very nicely decorated to mimic a traditional Mexican setting. The venue was also nice and clean. It appears a live DJ is present during the evenings as staff was setting up DJ equipment. There is traditional Mexican music playing in the background. The service was great and the staff very professional, polite and on point. Upon arrival, you are given a complimentary basket of home made hot tortilla chips and fresh salsa. We were impressed as the chips were not heavily salted or oily and tasted crispy and delicious. Our lunch arrived to the table shortly after ordering and it was presented beautifully on the plate. We ordered the beef and fish tacos which were seasoned nicely and served with sides of rice and beans and a salad. The restaurant also offers a dessert menu w/various choices. We tried the fresh fruit crêpe which was delicious and a great ending to a good meal. There are various Mexican beers to choose from and a margarita and martini menu. The prices were reasonable for the area. Will definitely be returning!.

First time here and it was good. Service was really slow though and I had to go hunting for the server just to get the check. I had a chorizo in wine sauce appetizer with a quesadilla. Both were nice. I wish they had more options with chorizo on their menu though.

Came here after dinner elsewhere for some dancing on a Saturday night. There was a $ 5 cover charge for men ladies free. The music started out very good and diverse(although dj «scratch and sniff» changed the song every 40 seconds) and by the end of the night they seemed to be playing Mexican rancheros over and over! We spent over $ 300 on only drinks and they wouldn’t give us water with ice… they forced us to purchase bottled water only!!! What kind of restaurant refuses to give paying customers complimentary water… its water people are they really that desperate to make a buck?! They won’t be making much money with that kind of customer service we won’t be going back. And according to other Unilocalers their food kinda stinks too if entertainment is what they have going for them they need to start treating their customers better and stop trying to nickel and dime everything!!! So I decided to give this place another try we stopped by during happy hour on a Friday afternoon and boy was it it a happy couple of hours. Drinks were great, our waiter an older man from DR was awesome and very attentive! The appetizers we had were very good and there was live entertainment, a mariachi band! We even got free ribs and fries to snack on because it was happy hour. I hope this place continues to make improvements and rethinks the not serving there guest a glass of water when they come in for drinks during the later hours… yea it’s gonna take sometime for me to get over that one!

Unfortunately our waiter never came to the table so although the steak was perfectly done my paella tad bit overcooked. Not getting second drink or even a bill took away from the meal; we were offered a desert to compensate but we left without taking it; waiting 30 minutes for a bill with no drinks did us in.

Our party of three arrived and we were seated it was a slow night for them. Service was slow. We ordered steak nachos for appetizers and margaritas(was good but too much sour mix). For dinner we had carne Asada. Presidents steak and flautes steak was chewy none of us finished the food. We asked for tap water, waitress was like we serve only bottle water here. Anyways the worst part we ask for check and we spilt the bill, when she returns there is bill with gratuity on it and she says I didn’t charge the gratuity but this is the amount we owe her. !!! Rancho Grande we have been there a lot of times and have never heard where u charge gratuity for 3 people and the food wasn’t even worth for the price.
