This hospital workers don’t take anything seriously! Took my husband in for chest pains he’s been having for days. The dr offers him motrin and sends him out the door with the same pain he went there with. This place is a waste of time. This hospital has treated my husband the same exact way before. Don’t go to this hospital! I’ve gotten more and better treatment from Lawrence Hospital and Westchester Medical Center! I only gave it 1 stars because it doesn’t let you select no stars!

I can not praise the staff enough. I took my husband there 12÷7÷15 with shortness of breath and chest pain. The place was packed yet everyone was taken care of ASAP. The staff was totally professional and accommodating treating each patient as a top priority. I have been a patient here but never gone through ER. I can not say enough about how professional everyone was. Special thanks to Dr. Juan Sinisterra and our wonderful nurse Edison Tamayo(Eddie). I would also like to thank the nurse in charge, I believe her name was Kathy(petite red head) she ran that ER like a well oiled machine getting everyone beds on a very busy night. We were a Lawrence Hospital about 2 months ago and it was a complete disaster. I highly recommend St. John’s Riverside. Thank you again for wonderful care. Joseph and Kelly DiGirolamo

I do not recommend this hospital to anybody. I was in excruciating pain and the nurse Vicky was mean and rude to me. The doctor was supposed to examine me and she never did. As soon as I was able to get up and walk they released me. I told them there was something wrong and I probably needed an MRI. Now that I am home and was able to take off my pants my right leg is blown up like a watermelon. So now I will have to go to another emergency room to get some real help. Thank you St John for nothing

This place isnt a hospital its a joke. They treat ur emergencys like ur at a coffee shop. If u have a real emergency do not go here. They wil let u go blind right in front of them while laughing about food or facebook

Had my surgery done to remove my gallbladder, in 2012 I almost die of pulmonary congestion, incompetent anesthesiologist and surgeons, before that I went to the ER kept me for a night and sent me home the next morning didn’t do or used diagnostic equipment to check my stomach not knowing I was already having infections. If you want the Best go to Westchester Med Hosp. in Valhalla or Columbia or NY Presbyterian … The ER here sucks!!! they charge your insurance $ 300 to be seen by a Nurse Practitioner. I am willing to challenge the Hospital Administration/Administrator one on one to prove how INCOMPETENTTHISHOSPITALISBEWARE!

I have had two of my in laws stay here. One w cancer and the other w a stroke. This is a terribly understaffed and dirty hospital. The nurses and staff are nice. Everyone is nice. However, a few times I watched the nurses beg for help in moving my father in law to the wheel chair. The aids don’t seem to offer enough help. I witnessed Aids argue with each other on multiple occasions. They argued about lack of help and«not doing the job» it was very inappropriate. One time in the emergency room with my mother in law, I watched a woman pass out. I counted on my phone to see how long it would take to get her in a bed or wheel chair. 2 minutes before she was even noticed! and her family was screaming the entire time. Again the emergency room staff just looked tired and pissed off. It’s pretty obvious there are only a few people here carrying the entire load. It’s not the doctors. But mainly the nurses and not the aids or cleaning staff. Underneath the beds you will find dust and plastic strips. I found a tube of something rolling on the floor. There was a chair in the hallway and the sweeper lady swept around it so that for the week I was there, dust and plastic particles collected underneath. I guess it would be too much to move the chair and get the dirt underneath? If it wasn’t for a few nurses this would have been the most frustrating experience. We owe a lot to those nurses.
