It’s no Fairway, but it is close to where I live and by far the best of the «regular» supermarkets in the Mount Vernon area. They have recently re-​organized to make more space for organic foods. They also carry U.S. wild caught shrimp which is pretty hard to find. I actually do a lot of my shopping here for the less exotic items. I would hate to see it go away as my town of Fleetwood can’t seem to keep a decent market in business.

Stop and shop is OK. The people that work there aren’t very friendly (and neither are the customers), but then again, I’m not from New York and that may be normal for everyone else. I’m kinda addicted to their shumai in the sushi section… Anyhow, it is much better than A & P!!!
