This is the only mechanic I go to, even when we have two mechanics in the family! Just for some perspective on how amazing they are, I drive from Long Island just to have Kevin as my mechanic. They are honest and personable. I have had new tires put on my car with insurance, a new battery installed, and a drive belt replaced. They are always very professional and friendly. Always willing to answer all my questions and try their best to fit my appointment in the schedule, even when super busy. I will continue to refer them to family and friends, as I continue to be a loyal customer.

Let me put this into perspective, I live in New Jersey and Kevin is my mechanic. It is worth the trip out to Yonkers to get my car fixed here.
My mechanic in NJ retired and I had been going to the dealership to get small things done, like oil changes, etc. When it was time get my brakes fixed the dealership screwed up my car. Hughes Motors was recommended to me by a friend who lives in The Bronx. I took my car to Kevin and I was very happy with the repairs and the customer service. My car is running great too.
All the guys who work there are super nice and knowledgeable. He has a big place so he can handle a lot of cars at once and you never have to wait a long time. Plus, the waiting room is comfy and there are snacks at the store, so it makes it pleasant to wait to have your car fixed. I was very happy with my experience at Hughes.

I got a flat tire –summertime, 3 kids who have been driving all day, far from home. I was very fortunate to have eked out a drive to Kevin Hughes’ Sunoco. He dropped everything, helped fix my tire to get to a firestone up the road, for free, all within 15 minutes. I feel grateful for his help and professionalism. My strong guess is this level of honest service extends into all areas of his business. Highly recommend.

Stopped into this gas station to get my car inspected and my check engine light was on. Spoke with a very cordial man (Kevin).They diagnosed the problem, ordered the part and I was in and out in 2Hrs. Great service with a smile; hard to find these days.

Living close enough to this service station, I’ve come to rely on this place for gas, a quick min-​mart fix, or their mechanics. Recently they’ve expanded their garages and gave their little mini-​mart inside a much needed upgrade appearance and stock wise. Open 24 hours, there has always been a time I needed to come here for gas, drinks, or just a snack for a quick fix.
Dropping my car off here for either repairs or an inspection is just plain easy. The mechanics here have always been friendly and courteous to me. They’ve always fixed my car quickly and right. The mini-​mart inside is small, but has enough of a selection to satisfy most patrons. The gas is average in price, with 2 upgraded self serve pumps. There’s also an air pump and one of those quick do-​it-​yourself car wash hoses.
I’m there for one reason or another on most days and never had a problem. Always reliable being open and always convenient to have just a few block walk from me. Located right next to the on-​ramp for the Major Deegan Expressway for the added convenience when you’re on the go.

Kevin and the other mechanics at this garage are truly excellent in their work and charge an incredibly fair price. TRULY AN EXCELLENT GARAGE
