I know a lot of people enjoy the food here but it’s really not good in my opinion. The place is filthy. The place is run-down and looks like it’s falling apart. The last time I came here, the chefs preparing the food had no gloves on.(You have visibility of them making your food). It’s disgusting — they all have beards and don’t wear hair nets. The food itself is cheap. Because it’s not very clean. I wouldn’t trust their meat anymore if I saw them cut if off the cow themselves. Go down to 53rd if you want Halal.

The best halal food in Westchester. First had their food while working at Sears in cross county. Ever since then atleast once a month. Mix plate is top notch.

So yet another place where you should not judge a book by its lover. Or how does that go? I forgets. Limited parking, counter style setup, and two booths, spartan is your first impression. However, look deeper. Yonkers Halal is a diamond in the rough and gets 4 stars from moi because it is the closest chicken and lamb over rice with 3 sauces in Westchester. If you have never had bbq sauce, hot sauce, and food truck halal white sauce over meat, rice, and salad, this is where you go that is not NYC. Yup, this earns you a star above average. Well that and not paying money for tolls, delicious brined fried chicken, and frenched fries made in beef fat. Oh lord, I want some right now.

In my opinion better than Halal Guys. One thing I appreciate, is they use lamb instead of beef gyro. Ordered the chicken and lamb mix platter and some French Fries and very satisfied with both. I did order my food to pick up and was told it would be ready in 15 minutes, got there in 20 minutes after making the order and still had to wait an additional 10 minutes so have to take a star off for that. Either than that no complaints! The halal was excellent, will come back again.

I was so excited when they first opened, a few years back. The only thing that compare to the amazing Halal down at 53rd and 6th. I love that they have a huge selection of Halal meals and are way closer than going into the city.

Came here to get some Halal Food! Needed an alternative since I’m not trying to go to the 53rd Halal food cart in the city all the time even though it’s the best. But, this place has delicious halal food, you can obviously taste a slight difference but it’s not a big deal. I got the Mix over rice. You get your pita bread, orange lookin rice, lettuce, lamb & chicken, with everyone’s favorite(The White Sauce) lmao.(Get your mind out the gutter) plus with hot sauce, my fav. Parking is limited, it’s meter parking, always carry quarters lol. It’s a place to just get your food and leave. Not really a place to eat your food at. Overall it’s a great alternative A++

The food is really good. This is the 242 of Yonkers. The only problem is the delivery guy takes about 1 hour just to make a deliver. Not good. Was not satisfied with that. But other then that it is really good

Nothing special here. The Lamb and chicken combo was quite dry.

Walk into the open space and up to a counter to order from the strangely wide variety of food they have. I got the chicken/lamb and rice combo and it was so good. I asked for the sauce on the side and they forgot to put it in the bag and I forgot to make sure it was there before leaving.

Ordered two 5 piece chicken boxes with fries and two cokes. Guys on phone are extremely rude. Waited an hour before calling to see what took so long, told food would be with us soon, called again after an additional 40 minutes. Overall food took an hour and 50minutes. So much for fast food! When food arrived we were obviously very hungry delivery guy didnt even get out of his car. Paid for food only to realise that they only delivered half of the order one 5 piece 1 fries and 1 coke. A complete joke(service wise) and its a pity because the food is good. Will never order again.

why isn’t there an option for 0 stars? These guys are so rude over the phone, I almost didn’t order the food at the end. after an hour of waiting, I called to check the status of the food, and he yelled at me. What is wrong with these assholes? I called back again and he screamed at me. what do I do in this situation? Unilocal it is.

I am a huge fan of NYC halal carts. This place is a very solid option if you are too. If this were NYC halal, I’d give their chicken/lamb & rice a 3 rating. But since this is Westchester, they get an extra star. You can’t get chicken & rice anywhere else without driving another 25 mins. Tip: MAKESUREYOUHAVETHEMSLOWDOWNWHILEPUTTINGONTHEWHITESAUCE. They will absolutely drench it with white sauce, to the point of in-edibility, if you let them.

Hey customers, Yonkers Halal is the new 53rd&6th ave. If anyone has eaten from the Halal Guys downtown Manhattan as of recently, you are all sorrily missing the good golden days chicken and rice when the chicken was beautifully marinated in a deep orange marinate and cooked freshly and chopped up to order, and extremely dangerously delicious! Recently when«The Halal Guys» got it’s name, the chicken then became bland, overcooked, shredded and just revolting to look at. What happened to «chicken & rice»? All I can say is that right now you can enjoy the same great classic tasty experience here at Yonkers Halal Fried chicken, just past Cross County Shopping Center(going south). Great chicken, rice, gyro, pita bread(they also have lamb for sandwiches), lots of white sauce and some hot sauce to go. They use Sriracha hot sauce which is easier than downtown’s ghost red chili pepper. Bön Apetit, also this is a Kennedy Fried Chicken. Worth the trip, trust me. The entire staff are down to earth great people and they will work with you kindly and professionally, no nasty attitude.

Has better chicken and lamb platter than Halal Guys on 53th and 6th– yup! I call ahead like 15 minutes and the mix plate is ready for me. Just ask for mix plate with red sauce, white sauce, & pita. They use Siracha sauce which is my favorite. They have chucks of meat as opposed to shredded meat like the halal guys– which i prefer. Place looks like a holding cell at a police station but I don’t come here for the décor.

It’s not 53rd, but the flavors are definitely there. Cooked ok even tho the place doesn’t look like much. Staff pretty much wants you in and out.

This place is your average fast food place if we’re talking about how the place looks. Pictures of foods that aren’t necessarily theirs. Unorganized menu. And basically unopened boxes on the side of drinks. However, this place is not average when it comes to food. The chicken is just perfectly crispy. The spices work well with each other. They usually have a slight burn to the chicken which I love. The place should be named after the Gyro however, since it is their main dish. It is just a mountain of chicken, rice, lettuce, etc. and the thing that really does for me, is their infamous white sauce. If you don’t specially order white sauce on the side or on the gyro itself, you just made a big mistake. It’ll cost you about 1 buck extra, but it is well worth it. Plus, the lady at the counter is very generous, since she knows me well, so she usually lets me take a can of soda or two for free. ;) I take out here once a month, but before I started working out/dieting, I used to take out like once a week. The food is amazing, yes, but its still fast food. Watch out for that oil.

Ended up idling in the car for the grub while a passenger tapped her toes for the food to be cooked. We skedaddled home after a thirty minute wait for the food. Oh boy! We were in for a grand surprise when we opened up the box for halals and a gyro. Not only was the gyro in a ground up heap, it was excruciatingly tasty. The combination of Greek and Persian flavors in that gyro pile, as I called it, summed up to a conclusion that the gyro is ten times better than the one in the wrap. I wish I could have bitten into their fried chicken as I was waiting in the auto, but I regretted thinking about that when I had this mixture(my first time). The place is similar to a Chinese fast chow joint. Bland ceiling. Bland walls. Bland atmosphere. Just roll here for the food and jet out to eat the nice grub. I didn’t pay for the food, but I’m guessing that since the place looks cheap, the stuff it makes must be cheap as well.

Yonkers Halal Bus Station– as it is also a waiting room for the bus during the winter. Chicken tastes like any other Halal spot– which is a good thing becuase I love that«slightly less than prime crisp» crispness. They also abided by the Halal Chicken code. 1. Really big pictures 2. Ridiculous combos and speicals that dont neccessarily save you money if you order in higher quantity. 3. Unorganization, but still efficient 4. Strange, or nonexistant interior decorating– its all about the chicken… and fish… and shitty pizza… and 3 free rolls alaways insinuated like they hookin u up.
