Yonkers Self Storage

If I could give 0 stars I would! Confirmed on the phone that we would get a 5×5×8 room for $ 120 for 2 months with the 50% special. When my mom gets there they try to tell her she needs to get 3 months to get the 25% discount! And a man was in there complaining that he moved his stuff out with a months notice and was told he wouldn’t get his money back. NO THANKS!

Scumbags. Weasels. Because entering into a contract with a company is of utmost importance to me when it comes to storage, I cannot offer any other evaluation. Cleanliness, space, etc, is secondary if I cannot trust who I am dealing with.
From my observation, the management is more concerned about squeezing every last dollar they can from customers, their bottom line, then keeping customers happy, and keeping customers.
To GET my business, all sorts of promises were made. The location is in the middle of NOWHERE, and I wanted an incentive to consider it. The 50%/6 month website special was too good to pass up, so I moved in. They defaulted on that agreement after 3 months. Stuck, we negotiated to 4 months/​25% for the 5^th. But they defaulted on that, as well.
Forced to dispute the difference with my bank, to my shock, the manager WROTE A LETTER to my bank, a move nearly unheard of, according to my bank, why they were entitled to the funds. No one called, or emailed me that they planned on going back on their agreement a second time.
I don’t trust them, and I don’t trust them with my things. Please, go elsewhere. They’ve proven themselves liars not once, but thrice already.

Zero stars… gave almost a months notice I was leaving my unit. Then told them the day I moved out, still charged the following month. Called them. Said they would call me back. I called them again the following day. they said the owner-​Fred had refunded the amount. A week later still no refund on my account. It’s now almost 2 and half weeks, no one returns my calls… Fred has always ‘stepped out of the office’ and suspiciously Danny the guy who used to be there every day has also stepped out now every time I call for the passed 3 days. Unbelievable and I wouldn’t be surprised if they charge me again next month…

The worst experience I have ever had with storage places. Everything I had in the storage was coated with white dust fwhich came from the insulation plastered over the ceiling and they keep charging me $ 220 3 months after I emptied the unit. Manager is rude and customer service is zero. I wish I could give it 0 stars.

What can I say about Yonkers Self-​Storage, Great staff, great location and great deal. They helped me out when I was at Storage Post and when they got flooded out. I was stressed out. Karen was the person who helped me and was great. Everyone was nice. I tell a lot people to go there. You should to.

Until today I was a customer for about 2 years, there prices are uncomparable to NYC. I moved from Manhattan mini storage when they started charging $ 60 for the smallest room that started at $ 30.
I found Yonkers self storage while I was looking for a place to store my motorcycle, they offered it at, $ 120 on the first floor and over 4 times the space of their competitors, with the extra space I was able to fit 2 motorcycles and all my stuff from manhattan mini with room, a real value, But that’s not the only plus, they are good to their customers and offer 24hr service
