Love the convenient location of this place. However, their customer service and delivery of the products they sell are way below par. First time was when I went in for my appointment. Great, quick and efficient in getting me in and out. Getting my sun glasses, not so much. They said I’d have them within a week, took 15 days. And it took me calling repeatedly to get them before I left on vacation. Second, my son went in for an exam, quick and efficient again. But getting the «sample» contact lenses, not so much. Took nearly two weeks when they said a week. Repeated calls went unanswered or calls not returned when they said they would. Receptionist or assistant, not very nice. Third was just the other day. Son picked out some frames and was told would be a week for delivery. After TWO weeks, I called twice without a return call. Finally got a text 18 days after glasses were supposed to be received. Wife picked them up. Probably will not return here. Poor customer service.

Very friendly staff and dr kimura is great at what she does. She explains everything in good detail. Helpful with contact and glasses selection and answers all of my questions.

Candy is the best eye doctor I have ever seen. She is so helpful and takes her time to make sure you understand everything. The girl in the front is very helpful. Loved it and will be referring everyone for sure.

Yesterday, I went to the Knoll Family Optometry for the first time. I am a referral from a friend of mine. I passed the office as I was driving East on Yorba Linda Blvd., then made a U-​turn and found the office. There was plenty of parking in front of the office.
From the minute I walked-​in, I was greeted with a warm welcome and a friendly smile! Dr. Candi is very friendly, professional, knowledgeable, caring, thorough, and carefully listens/​answers your questions and concerns.
Dr. Candi gave me a full exam that included my vision with and without my contacts, she checked my near vision which is something previous optometrists had not done since I’m nearsighted. Some other things that she did that previous optometrists did not do were take a picture of my eyes as a reference for the future to see if and how my eyes change. Also, she checked out the inside of my eyes through her microscope. Dr. Candi also checked the fit of my contacts and felt the right side was pinching a bit too much and gave me an analysis of why you don’t want it to be too tight.
Overall, my vision hasn’t changed much since my last optometrist visit which was about 2.5 years ago. I’m a –3.00 in both eyes with a bit of astigmatism in my right eye. Dr. Candi gave me some samples of both one-​day and monthly contacts to see which ones I liked better. One new thing I learned was there are some contacts that have farsightedness and nearsightedness in one contact lens. You compromise a little on the far vision, but you can see up close a bit easier.
I give my highest recommendation to Dr. Candi, so if you’re looking for a true professional, then please give her a visit.
BTW, my friend told me she is the president of the LA Optometric association.

Dr. Kimura was a wonderful doctor, she did a number of tests I don’t normally get, she explained everything, was very professional, kind, and had a good selection of frames. I would highly recommend her

Here’s the things: the actual optometrist is very sweet, and made everything very easy. But, the girl at the front desk ruined my whole experience. Not only for me, but my whole family. She was so rude to me and my family, but my mom specifically. Hate to say it, but we are never going back due to the terrible experience we had with the girl at the front desk.

Dr Kimura is the best optometrist and really great with my kids (ages 7 & 3) I have been going to her for 3+ years and its quite a drive from Apple Valley but well worth it

I have been a business owner since 1982. If I dealt with customers the way they dealt with me, I wouldn’t be in business today. I won’t bore you with ugly details, except to say, I will NOT use Knoll again.

I can definitely say that this will be my first and only time going here. My initial experience was wonderful. Dr Kimura is very nice and helpful, however after visit of picking out my glasses and spending quite a bit of money, 3 ½ weeks later I am still without glasses!
I called after 2 weeks wondering why nobody had called me, the girl said she would contact the lab and call me back, she never did. I then called back the next week after it had been 3 weeks. The girl said she would call the lab and call me back. I let her know that happened prior so this time she actually did call me back and told me the lab sent my lenses back twice for not passing inspection, which is great for not sending out sub par work, but 3 weeks! If that happens you usually do something for the customer besides implying «too bad, deal with it and keep waiting». I asked if anything would be done cause 3 weeks is way too long to be waiting for glasses that I spent a few hundred dollars on. She said she would see if their company could do anything for me and she’d call me back. BIg shock that I never received a call back!
Extemely unprofessional and I regret going to this place. If I could get my money back and go to a different place I would have.

The optometrist is nice but they do not have much of a choice for young children. Also when the glasses came they did not know how to make them fit around my child’s ears. Anyway they sent us to A Child’s View in Brea. They fixed the glasses within 20 minutes. Go to a Child’s View if you have kids. Don’t waist your time at Knoll’s Family Optometry!

Dr. Kimura is a great balance of professionalism and patient care. She does the most tests of any of my prior optometrist, never gives an attitude when you asks questions and always tries her best to make things work for you. She has a decent size selection of frames and contacts and I love leaving with my free samples of eye solution :] She really seems to care about your vision, comfort and style~
Both K & I come here from over an hour away, just because we think she’s made of awesome win. I’ve never had a problem getting an appointment, she works with most major insurances and will even ship your contacts/​glasses to your house if need be. Her staff is great too and everyone seems in such a good mood when they come here.

I have gone to Dr. Kimura twice now, and have been extremely happy with both visits. She is extremely professional and thorough. She is very animated and energetic, so you feel very comfortable with her. Recently, I brought my 10 year-​old son in for an eye exam. He was reluctant and a bit nervous. Dr. Kimura made him feel comfortable and actually got him to be open to the idea of wearing glasses! I highly recommend her!

Dr. Kimura is the best! I’ve been to several optometrists in the past and she’s top notch! She is very professional and sweet — can’t say that with too many people. ;)
Her eyes exams are very thorough. I’ve been there a few times. You know you have a great optometrist when she picks out the ones that fit your face and your style. It’s happened twice with me — I even tested her — I chose 2 frames that I liked (out of her huge collection of frames and sunglasses) and later asked her what she thought would be best for me. And BAM! She grabbed the exact two that I had picked! She did the same thing with my boyfriend’s sunglasses. She picked out sunglasses he had just bought somewhere else! I
Candi definitely takes the time to make sure you get the best service and the best deal!

Love Candy! I cannot express how happy I am with her after going through several optometrists. She was very clear and to the point. And it looks like I will get back into contacts, at least for special occasions. The selection of glasses is overwhelming, but Candy takes the time to go through them so you get the best ones.

I went to KF Optometry based on Unilocal recs from my insurance listing. Candy was absolutely the best in terms of competence, service, selection of products and just a joy to do business with.
Candy set my wife up with contacts. No other optometrist has been able to do that before.

I don’t think anyone loves their optometrist the way I do! I’ll totally take a Pepsi challenge on that, any day!
First off, Dr. Kimura is super professional while comforting all at the same time. My eyes are horrible with the air puff machine, but she very patiently waits until she gets a good sample, while trying her best to make you comfortable (even when she has a legitimate concern about your vision, like she did with me). Then she tells you how great you did. Hello, positive reinforcement and affirmations always work better than punishments, duh! What can I say, I’ll always be a child at heart. Which, by the way, I can definitely see her being amazing the little ones!
Secondly, she is super accommodating! I had lost my glasses (issued by a different optometrist 2 yrs ago) and the same day I called to let her know, she totally made me feel welcome to come at MY earliest convenience. Because I get out at 6 from Long Beach, I wouldn’t be getting there until 7p — when most places are closed! But she made herself available because I was in a b (l)ind (haha. ok, bad joke!). But I totally appreciated that.
The best part about Dr. Kimura is that she LOVES the selecting and trying on process. In the past, I’ve always felt so pressured to hurry up and choose, when I wasn’t ready (i know, my bad for not having a backbone — but still!). Dr. Kimura is such a cool girly-​girl (in a professional way of course) and makes you feel so welcomed and takes the time to try on all the blinged out or more professional styles your heart desires. This part of the appointment was awesome and hilarious for us because I’m about less bling, and she loves it. So it took us a while to get to a happy medium and pick out an awesome pair of glasses! …and validation about the new hair color I had in mind. which will go amazing w my frames.
Speaking of amazing frames, her selection of frames are so cool! She’s got blinged out, professional, children, sun, boring, kitschy, appropriate, sexy, etc, you name it! And her prices are very reasonable.
AND… AND… AND… to top it all off, I got my glasses mailed to me! I don’t live too close to Yorba Linda, and I couldn’t see so driving at night was not a viable option. So, she took care of me. And sure enough, I got my cute, semi-​blinged, professional glasses a few days later. She’s a total lifesaver! I am so proud and happy to say that I have found my optometrist for life! Yay!
