Nancy Towbin, MD

Dr. Towbin is the best Obgyn any woman can ask for. She’s nurturing, patient, thoughtful and talks to you like you’re her own friend and not just a patient. She’s always very thorough in our meetings and takes her time to answer any questions I could possibly have. I’ve been a patient of hers for 4 years and every time I’ve had a crisis, she’s been there for me. Her staff are all ver friendly and professional. She’s most reassuring and calming dr I’ve ever met. She genuinely cares about your well being and I couldn’t have better things to say about her. Some people might complain it’s her to get an appointment with her but it’s because she’s that high in demand so I always book ahead. And if I ever had an emergency, they always took me in ASAP and that’s what matters. You’re the best Dr. Towbin!

Today, I had my very 1^st apptmnt w/​Dr. Towbin. I went in w/​a smile and received same from the front desk gal, to the nurse and then ultimately Dr. Towbin. I know I’m going to love her as much as I love my other awesome Dr. (Dr. Joe)! Dr Towbin was warm, pleasant, thorough. She took the time I needed and explained everything and was not rushed. So my 1^st impression is AWESOME DR. !! The only thing is that it is a Fragrance Free Zone, which no one mentioned, so I went in smelling pretty good! But no worries, I’ll be happy to leave off the lotions and perfumes for this fabulous Dr.

I typically only write reviews on Unilocal when extremely pleased or very unhappy with a business. I wish I could give Yorba Linda Women’s Health 10 stars!
I’ve been seeing Dr. Towbin for a few years now. I’ve always found the entire staff to be friendly, caring and professional. I’ve never had a problem making an appointment, and any concerns requiring a follow up call are addressed promptly. Appointments are never rushed, and Dr. Towbin makes sure all of my questions are answered.
Highly recommend!

7:30 am appt booked to be squeezed in before work a month and a half in advance. 8:15 am, still in the waiting room that is manned by a rude receptionist to boot. She gave me attitude for being 8 minutes late saying for that they are accommodating me to be seen forty five minutes past my appointment time. Maybe a whole throng of walk in patients came earlier than their appointment time between 7:30 and 7:38… More likely, the rude receptionist messed up the schedule by shoving an unmanageable amount of patients in at this hour.
Been a patient of this office for three years, but I am yet to even meet the doctor. I’ve been seen by her assistant a few times, a couple temps filling in here and there, but no clue who runs this poorly managed practice. No clue how her bedside manner is because she’s just too busy to see her patients.
Read the other one star reviews. They’re pretty damn accurate.

I’m not exactly sure how to rate this, because I thought Dr. Towbin herself was fantastic! However, I would give her front desk staff one or no stars. When I showed up for my appointment, I wasn’t greeted – and I was the only patient there to check in – so I had to greet the receptionists myself. They were by no means friendly or welcoming, and it was really frustrating trying to get my insurance worked out with them. Once I was taken back though, my experience took a complete 180. The assistant who took me back was really friendly and made conversation with me, and Dr. Towbin was able to diagnose my problem within about 15 minutes. I was really excited to have found a new doctor, but I’m not thrilled to have to go back and deal with the ladies at the front desk. I’m also bummed that Dr. Towbin no longer delivers babies, as that means I will have to find another doctor sometime in the future. But, if the grouchiness of front desk staff doesn’t bother you, you will absolutely LOVE Dr. Towbin!

Woman on the phone was extremely rude and since I’m a new patient they couldn’t help me until next week for an urgent issue.

I am so happy that I found Dr. Towbin! I was at her office for a second opinion and literally within 10 minutes she had answers for me. My previous doctor did not have a clue what was going on with my body and she wanted me to do an expensive test that was not needed. I spent such a long time feeling frustrated because I didn’t know if there was a solution to my health issues. Dr. Towbin made me feel at ease knowing that there was light at the end of the tunnel. Futhermore, the staff is amazing. I spoke to Grace several times and she always responds to my questions in a timely and professional manner.

Love love love Dr Towbin she has the best beside manner always patient first with a genuine concern for her patiences. I highly recommend her.

Waste of time. Don’t even bother making an a appointment. I made an appointment 6 weeks ago and told them what I wanted to come for. The day of my appointment I get a call from the office that she will be out all of a sudden for a while and that she doesn’t even do what I wanted to go. Maybe this information would have been helpful a while ago.

I now have a new doctor — and left this place feeling less than positive. There is one great receptionist — Mary, and a PA who was great, but other than that, I’m not impressed with anyone in this office. I think the bedside manner is lacking, and had very bad experiences with the office management. I believe Dr. Towbin is probably a great doctor, but she is just too busy to do a great job anymore. I thought I might have been too harsh until I saw my new doctor and got the attention I was seeking. He also confirmed that the way I was treated at this place was not okay when I told him about some of the things I dealt with.

Not often do you go to the gynecologist and feel like you are going to see an old friend… but that’s how it feels when I have my exams or for any other appointments with Dr. Towbin. She talks to me like I am a person, or even a friend, and not just a routine patient.
I’ve had procedures, exams and a few good cries with her by my side and never have I lost any confidence in her as my doctor.
Dr. Towbin sits down and talks with her patients, she gets to know them and makes sure to get to the bottom of whatever the issue is at hand.
I was recommended to her by a friend and I’d like to pay-​it-​forward to you, you will not be disappointed. I highly recommend her.

Dr Towbin is thoughtful, understanding and intelligent. She takes the time to listen and always offers a solid treatment plan that we both agree on. Her office is clean and modern. The staff is considerate and I’ve never had to wait more than a few minutes for appointments. Billing has also been accurate and organized. I highly recommend Dr Towbin!

Dr. Towbin is awesome. She made me feel like everything is going to be ok. I had a few Gynos who made the annual exam seems like a dirty little secret in a dark outdated offices. I talked with Dr. Towbin and expressed my concerns, and after the exam she assured me that everything is fine. Her office is new and clean, and most importantly, the gown is cloth material not paper!

Very interesting — Dr. Towbin finally called me but only after she heard that I had put my feelings on Unilocal.
Dr. Towbin told me she would send a lab request for blood work — that was three weeks ago. Again, Dr. Tobin reaffirmed exactly how much she cares about her patients.

Been seeing Nancy Towbin for 15 yrs and believe me I make sure my clients know how to find her ! Any questions just ask me ! The best ! And caring, and she listens !!

First of all I LOVE Dr. Towbin. She is the best at listening and going from there. It is not uncommon to go to the doctor and they have already decided what you have after a brief exam and ready for their diagnosis but she ALWAYS listens and that is the most important thing to me. She and Grace are very professional and if you are worried about something as I was last appointment they were both very reassuring. I love the new (9 month old) office. It is very nice and plenty of parking unlike the last location. The only thing I noticed which is just a learning process the people at the front were still learning some things as apparently there are different forms since the move or something. I thought as I was sitting in the reception area that if it was my first time I would have wondered a little. Everyone is nice there and I’m happy to drive a little further to see Dr. Towbin since I really trust her.
Went back in December for my annual appointment and I had mentioned in the previous review that the front desk was going through some learning things but all was perfect this time and I didn’t want anyone to think anything negative about this office. You won’t be disappointed and a side note which is just kind of funny they had cloth gowns instead of the little paper and it made it even more of a pleasant experience and I’m sure you all know what I’m talking about when it is not fun waiting and wearing paper. LOL Nice touch

Dr. Towbin was such a breath of fresh air! I had been with Kaiser for several years where you only get 10 minutes with the doctors. Dr. Towbin took the time to really understand my concerns and really trusted my perspective on my health issues. So nice to have a doctor who wants to partner with you to fix issues rather than someone who acts like an expert and doesn’t relieve your concerns. I’m so happy I found her. The staff was very organized and friendly too. Very pleased that I have a great doctor!

I had my first appointment with Dr Towbin today. The first person I met was Kym at the reception desk. She was very nice and friendly.
The next person I met was a nurse, named Grace. Grace was very friendly and professional.
I then met Dr. Towbin. She too was very professional. She spent a good amount of time with me and answered all my questions.
I would recommend this office to my family and friends
