Called, scheduled for next day and he showed up! Nice guy, straight forward and determined to solve my problems in both of my air units. Worked his butt off until all was solved– now my house is arctic cold and awesome. So if you need an air conditioning guy in Orange County (I am in Yorba Linda) call Nelson Air!

Scott Nelson exceeded with Honesty and Quality work. He quoted me a complete system by Trane which I love. He was very knowledgeable and explained all the process to me with great detail. Changing my whole HVAC system was the best investment I have made so far this year. Not to mention the significant savings $$$$$$ every month. I called Nelson AC at 6 pm after I came home from work and noticed water dripping from one of the ceiling vents. It turns out the ac unit has a drain pipe which was clogged. He arrived the same night at 9 pm and cleared out the problem.
Talk about after hours service. It was great! Especially since its been 100+ degrees lately.
I would definitely recommend Nelson AC for service and/​or repairs. I can’t tell you how appreciative I am.

I called Nelson Air to come to my business to give me a quote. I own a grooming salon and was looking to tap into my current air conditioning unit and run a duct into my kennel room, where we keep the dogs, so they would stay nice and cool as well. The owner came initially to give me the quote and the price was fair. We set up a time for one of his guys to come back to do the job. The guy that came was friendly and did a good job. Two thumbs up. :)

I hired Nelson Air to install a custom system to my home. The owner Scott came out and gave me a very reasonable estimate. While giving the estimate he walked through all my options and explained the pros and cons of different types of equipment and where to place the unit etc. Scott even took his time to recommend the different types of filters, MRV ratings and UV lights etc, which was a concern for me given that I have severe allergies. I decided to go with the Trane system and it works amazing! The installation went smooth, on schedule and no added costs beyond the initial estimate. I would definitely recommend Nelson Air to anyone who needs AC installed. Scott and his crew provided both excellent service and high quality work!

No show, no call
Nelson Air did quality work 2 years ago for an air conditioner issue so being a loyal customer when our air conditioner went out recently I called and made an appt for the following day. He cancelled that appt right before he was supposed to show up and rescheduled for the next day. That next day he didn’t show up and no phone call, and didn’t answer the phone when I tried to call him… it was too late in the afternoon to call another company so we were left without air for 3 very hot days when I could have called someone more reliable to begin with.
Nelson Air, a simple phone call would have kept us as customers.
Went with Kalka Air instead who did a great job, very professional.

I talked to several HVAC contractors about replacing my units and by far Scott (the owner) had the best prices and seemed the most knowledgeable. He spent over an hour checking everything out and took the time to explain to me everything that needed to be done. He was even looking at ways in which he could save me money on the installation without cutting corners. I also like that your call his cell phone directly and deal with the owner (i.e. no sales people) why spend money on overhead costs that need to passed on to the customer. I would highly recommend giving Nelson Air a call for any of your HVAC needs.

Great service!!! Called late in the day on the hottest day of the year with a broken AC. They squeezed us in:). Showed up and fixed our problem. They had to come back the next day to finish up and showed up when he said he would! Would highly recommend! Fair pricing too!

This company did an amazing job! My air conditioner broke the Tuesday before 4th of July, and it was very hot out. I called Nelson Air and requested a next day appointment on a very busy four day holiday weekend. The owner was very professional and ‘fit’ me into his schedule even though I requested a last minute appointment.
The owner and his friend were honest and told me my options for fixing my air conditioner. They did a great job, and I would definitely use them again and/​or recommend them to friends and family. Thank you!

This is the best Heating, air conditioning guy in the business!!! Had several quotes that were higher an he beat them all. Scott the owner is a honest, professional, an fair contractor. He iInstalled the entire system in one day when the other AC guys said it would be two days possible three. He worked from 8am untill 10:30 pm just to finish the job!!! Wow great job Scott!!!

I have used Nelson Air before and found them to be prompt, responsive, and cost competitive. I called them to replace my mothers furnace. It was no longer working and she needed heat. December is cold even in orange county. They understood the urgency, came right out, and started working. She will have heat and they even took the extra step of taping the main duct for leaks to save on future heating bills.
If you need service for heating, air conditioning, or duct work in Orange County, I highly recommend Nelson Air. they can be trusted.

Sadly we called Scott out to fix our AC unit as it had stopped blowing cold air. His final answer after a couple of calls back and forth is that he didn’t have time. So much for standing behind your work. In the end we found someone else who said all it needed was some coolant. So sorry Nelson Air can’t be bothered to look after their own install. We won’t be using them again.

Had Scott install new AC and furnace, and he even arranged to install pull down stairs into our attic, and a ceiling fan. They really put in the effort, and had everything installed in a couple of days (had to move some of our ducting to bring it up to code).
A few months later the AC went out (fruit rats ate the wires), and he took care of that too. Only complaint is it seems he over schedules himself, and there fore arrives late, often. When he’s here though, he works hard.

Two stars for price quote and information provided during initial call. One star for follow-​up, I scheduled my work day the day of appointment to accommodate the service, and found out 20 minutes before the appt that it had to be moved to next day. Would have liked a follow up call at least an hour before giving notice of appointment change.
Scheduled appt for following day, no call to cancel, no show to appointment. Called to verify time and didn’t pick up. Can’t give a positive review or a review at all if I am not treated as a valuable customer and you take time out of the work day to accommodate a service that was never received. Called Service Champions and made a same day appointment and the diagnostic fee was cheaper too.

Also, their prices are great! We replaced our entire A/​C & Furnace unit with all the work being done in 1 day.

These guys do the job right the 1st time and if you ever need them to re-​check something, they are always willing to go the extra mile. Had them replace a wall mounted AC unit in my apartment. I can’t believe my apartment gets cold now. Their prices can’t be beat either. I’ve recommended them to friends, family and co-​workers.
