Old Towne Optometry

I work in the optometry world and Dr. Heyman is the only optometrist I will go to. When I was a kid and teenager I was constantly complaining that I couldn’t see the board in the classroom. Every time I went to the optometrist they told me that I saw ²⁰⁄₂₀ and was just fine. It took one conversation with Dr. Heyman when I was 16 for her to figure out I had more than a visual acuity problem and recommended vision therapy. After completing vision therapy I have had none one the issues I was having before. When I was in college Dr. Heyman took over Old Towne Optometry so I started going to her regularly. She is the best eye doctor I have ever had. She makes me feel comfortable when I am there and I always walk out feeling like I have found the best prescription. She doesn’t ever make me feel like she just wants me there for my money and doesn’t push extra pairs of glasses and things I don’t need like so many optometrists seem to do.
Her office staff is also amazing! Ashley is the sweetest person! I love coming in and chatting with her and having her answer my questions before my actual appointment. Chris is also amazing. He always seems to know how to fix my glasses and anything else I may needed answered as well. I have never had the experience of working with Dr. Patel but always is very nice to talk to when I am in the office and seems to know what he’s talking about. I just feel comfortable when I am in the office. Not like I am in some stuffy doctors office.

We’ve been going to Old Towne Optometry for over 10 years and LOVE THEM!!! Warm, inviting office & staff and Dr. Patel literally just saved my daughters life. I’m in insurance and tell people all the time that by getting a simple eye exam, many conditions can be discovered like diabetes, heart disease, etc. Dr. Patel noticed pressure behind my daughters eyes and sent us right to the ER. After an MRI and seeing a neurologist, she has a pseudo tumor and the fluid in her brain isn’t draining the way it should. Had it not been for this routine eye exam & Dr. Patel, who knows what could have happened.

I just had my first visit with Dr. Heyman for both glasses and contacts. She was very friendly, knowledgeable, and thorough. She suggested new contacts that are more comfortable. I can’t wait to get my new glasses too. They have a pretty good selection of frames with affordable pricing as well as higher end designers. Their office is uniquely decorated to look like someone’s fancy living room. They offer water and cookies. I would recommend them! Oh, and I just received a handwritten note from Dr. Heyman personalized for our visit. A nice touch!

I’ve been a customer of OTO for years and can’t say enough great things about the staff. Dr. Patel is thorough, patient, and friendly. Chris is very helpful and kind. He’s always greets you with a smile and is talented in his profession

Wow, such great customer service! Chris is as nice and helpful as he is knowledgeable, he fixed my mom’s glasses in no time. Dr. Plaumann is so sweet, thorough and precise, couldn’t ask for a better doc! We had the best visit, highly recommend it to anyone!!!

The people here are fantastic. They are funny, helpful, and will go above and beyond for their clients. My grandmother comes here and I saw the way they made her smile and laugh, always so polite. So I decided to leave my old optometrist and make the jump here. I have not regretted the decision nor do I think I ever will. They deserve more than 5 stars. Thank you

Best optometrist and staff I’ve been to. I come all the way from Rancho Cucamonga to go to the best. It doesn’t get better than Dr. Heyman and her staff. Ashley and Chris are awesome! Ashley knows her stuff and as a bonus is very pretty and Chris is pretty funny and as a bonus knows his stuff.

the staff is so friendly and we even got a hand-​written note from the doctor after our first visit! Who does that anymore? the exam went quickly and everything was explained. Great selection of glasses and they arrived so quickly. Very impressed. This will definitely be our new optometrist.

These guys were SO NICE and were able to fit me in for a check-​up almost right away. The doctor was really friendly and told me a lot of things that no optometrist had ever told me about my eyes. You could tell she was really knowledgeable, and it turns out she teaches at the optometry school nearby. I would recommend them to anybody and everybody.

I have been going other optometry office for my annual check up.
This year I find the Old Towne Optometry to make appointment, Ashley and Chris greet me and they are so friendly.
Dr Patel was so wonderful and he explain my eye condition for step by step and easy language to understand, I fell so confident this office staff.
This morning my prescription glasses are ready and Chris greet me and adjust my new
glasses, I am so happy to this office staff, I will recommend to my friend.

Cool place, hot chick that knows her stuff too. I saw 2 different docs and both really good! Dr. Patel was a coolio cat, then saw Dr. Heyman for my contacts. WOW free contact lens solution when I buy contacts? I love this idea!

I never knew my old prescription was wrong until my exam at Old Towne Optometry! My headaches have gone away completely with the new prescription Dr. Heyman gave me! The staff is very friendly and EXTREMELY knowledgeable, and the environment is extremely unique and original as well! I am very blessed to have come across this place, and will be referring all my friends in the area.

This is the place to get your eyes checked! Everyone is so friendly and really care about all your concerns. They have a great selection of glasses and the prices are reasonable. They even checked on me two weeks later to check if I was satisfied with my purchase. Come here for all your vision needs! You won’t be disappointed!

LOVE this place! Chris, Ashley and Dr. Patel were all so easy and friendly to work with. Dr. Patel was very patient with me and explained all the tests and what he thought was going on with my eyes. Would absolutely recommend this optometry office to anyone and everyone.

Old Towne Optometry is great. Dr. Kevin Patel is wonderful. Very thorough, extremely competent and very, very nice. He gave me a lot of great suggestions/​alternatives for my aging eyes! The entire office is great — Chris and Ashley. I am a big fan!

Chris has held this place together for years (he’s a mensch!) — and with the advent of Dr Heyman & most recently Dr Patel, this is the best place for eye care in the Southland. Hands down. Used to live in YL /​Brea, still drive in from LA county to get the goods. Worth the drive & time every time.

Dr. Heyman is very helpful in finding unique solutions — such as wearing just one contact lens and getting trifocals with 2 areas the same (to avoid the line of bifocals). I am very, very happy and impressed!

I was out visiting my Mother and needed glasses. I saw how cute the building was and the people in my Mother’s apartment building loved them. Dr. Heyman was very professional and her staff made me feel right at home. The selection of upscale and valued eye wear was good.
