Tutor Time

This is the worst preschool my child has ever went to:
1. Caregivers didn’t instruct the children — I would walk in on them with iPads on with cartoons at various times
2. Place provides TAP water to the children that their own employees don’t drink.
3. Caregivers don’t supervise during playtime properly — caught caregivers sitting down with back to children while children were playing (two on a bike etc)
I could tell my child didn’t enjoy their time there.
Btw the place changed profiles because they had more negative reviews before…

I absolutely love tutor time !!! I’m so happy with my decision for my daughter to go here. The staff is amazing !! A huge plus is they are open a little later than most places I looked at. Highly recommend this place.

My son has been going to TutorTime for nearly a year now. I am so pleased with the program. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and caring. My son has made tremendous growth from day 1. My son has special needs that require daily therapy sessions. Tutor Time has been very supportive with this by allowing the therapists to come into the center and providing a space for my son to have therapy. My son is happy when I drop him off in the mornings and when I pick him up. I can see that he has been actively engaged all day and that he feels a sense of belonging in the bright, welcoming environment.

Great place. The director really cares about the kids. They are so proactive at working with you to help your child turn around their day. The other parents are so nice it’s like one giant family. When I take a picture all the kids join in together. They’ve really created a family environment there. We love it.

Best decision I have ever made for my daughter!
As with any mom, sending my child to full time daycare and having someone else responsible for her as an infant was the hardest decision I had ever made. We have been with Tutor Time for over a year now (since she was 3 months old) and I am 100% confident that we made the right and best decision for her.
When looking for a daycare, I always knew that I wanted to go with a larger group at a facility so that I wouldn’t have to be concerned with challenges of sick days/​vacation for a smaller provider or in home care. When touring several options, Tutor Time was by far my favorite based on the clean atmosphere, hours, and teachers we had met.
The teachers at Tutor Time are all extremely friendly and caring towards the kids and parents (because let’s face it– sometimes it’s harder for the parents: P). They always greet us with a cheerful smile and my daughter loves to see all of them every day. When we drop her off in the morning, she reaches for the teachers and happily waves goodbye. The teachers are very accommodating for each child and as an infant they were helpful to keep her on a set schedule every day with consistent naps and feedings. They would keep daily reports and track all of her activities for me to look at each day. They were also very helpful and supportive when transitioning her to sippy cups, solid foods, nap changes, etc.
Tutor Time has also been very educational for my daughter. From an early age, the teachers and other children would interact with her helping in her social skills and development. As she is now in the toddler room, I can see how much she is learning and absorbing at this ager. They do art projects and activities every day to help the kids learn, they read stories and sing songs that my daughter loves. It is so impressive to be playing with my daughter at home and realize that she recognizes a song from daycare, understands something new, says a new word, etc.
I am so grateful for all that Tutor Time does for my daughter!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Tutor Time!
Tutor Time is a franchise so each school is run by different owners. The Tutor Time on Los Angeles Street in Yorba Linda is amazing!
I was extremely nervous and anxious sending my child to daycare. He was only 5 months old and still very attached to me.
Of the three nearby daycare facilities my husband and I toured and interviewed, we choose Tutor Time for all of the reasons I’m listing below.
Price wise, Tutor Time was in the middle: not the cheapest but not the most expensive either.
The school is safe:
You cannot enter the building without a security code.
The school has a wonderful atmosphere:
The school is filled with bright colors, books, drawings, and family pictures on the walls. Fun music plays in the front lobby, and Debbie, the owner, decorates the front lobby for every season and holiday. The infant room is also very colorful, has the children’s names decorated on the walls, and the paint is a bright, welcoming color.
The classrooms are clean.
The infant room always smells clean. It never smells like dirty diaper or spoiled milk. They wash the crib sheets and bibs every day. They wash the toys a few times a week.
All of the teachers are friendly.
When I drop my son off or pick him up, anyone who sees us in the lobby or hallways smiles and says hi to my son, calling out his name energetically. He loves it.
The teachers pay such close attention to the children.
The teachers know my son inside and out. They notice even his most subtle traits and quirks. This tells me that they pay really close attention to him.
The teachers are accommodating to each parent’s schedules and demands.
If you want them to wake your child up every two hours to take a bottle, they’ll do it. If you want them to only feed your child on demand, they’ll do it. If you want them to put your child down for a nap every three hours, they’ll do it.
They record everything.
Each day the teachers fill out a daily report card for each child. I know when he had a bottle and how much of the bottle he drank, when he had a snack (and how well he ate), when he napped and for how long, when his diaper was changed, etc. It’s so helpful to see how his day went.
We felt they were the best choice when we did the tour, and they have exceeded our expectations.
My son loves Tutor Time. And really, that’s all that matters.

My son has been going to Tutor Time for years and he absolutely loves it there! He loves all of his teachers and looks forward to going to school everyday. We feel very blessed to have a place for our son to learn and have fun with his friends. Thank you Tutor Time!

My son has been going here for a year and its a great school! They have morning and after school care and take him to and from school for me. They also provide breakfast and snacks. His homework is also always done when I pick him up. Everyone is very nice and he loves going there!

My daughter went here and I just loved it. She has learned so much in such a short time already and it’s definitely worth the price. I was concerned because she’s been a slow learner recently, but here they give her the attention she needs. Thank you!!!

Great child care, my children love it here. The owner Deborah seems to have a natural born affinity for all children, she’s amazing.

Where do I start?
There is a reason this place is at less than 50% capacity. Sure, they will say the economy has them running below 50% capacity. Try again. Its because they care about your money before your child. Check out any other center in Yorba Linda or Placentia and you will find completely full centers. (most have waiting lists). That should tell you something. If a center has a waiting list — its probably a good place. This YL Tutor Time is the worst experience I’ve ever had. They tolerate bullying, biting and hitting. (While you are at work — your child is having to learn how to defend themselves from classmates. The teachers do NOT discipline, guide or redirect kids with bad behavior. Your child will be on their own.) Your child will likely pick up bad behaviors. There is no effort to increase/​improve speech or social skills. Its basically a free-​for-​all daycare (not a learning center) with a ratio of 12 kids to 1 teacher. All the teachers are very young and ill-​equipped/​trained. The owner of 8+ years (Deborah) of this Tutor Time franchise is completely frazzled 100% of the time. Just spend 5 minutes with her and your decision not to enroll at the school will be perfectly clear.
My best piece of advice — do NOT go there. If you do — tour the school with the owner, ask questions and trust your gut. I’m sure you will come to the same conclusion.

This school is wonderful. It is a bit more expensive than other schools, but it’s really worth every penny. My daughter is in the best care, and she learns A LOT!
All of the teachers care for the kids, even the ones who aren’t in their classes. Parents are welcome to visit any time, yet the security is good there too. It seems like everyone knows my daughter’s name, even if she’s never been in other classes.
It’s also nice that they monitor how many students each teacher has at any time, so there are enough teachers per student to watch them carefully.
The school also provides «Boo boo Reports» to report any owies. They tell you the time and circumstance of the accident. Each child also gets a report paper every night, so parents can see what their kid did that day, how much they ate, when they slept, and when they went potty.
This is a great school, and I can’t say enough good things about it.
