York County ice cream truck business soon will be making a stop at Central Market in York.

Chilly Dilly’s is to open its first market stand Saturday, said Dylan Bauer, the 23-​year-​old owner of the York Township-​based business.

Bauer launched the company as a freshman at Temple University when he was 18 years old. Upon graduating last year, he began working to grow the company. The firm now operates six ice cream trucks that travel throughout York County.

Chilly Dilly’s market stand will offer about a half dozen flavors of milkshakes, a variety of flavored ice cream cones, sundaes and more. Half of the stand will be used to make novelty ice cream products during the spring and summer season to stock the trucks. The stand also will be open at least five days a week when the trucks are in operation, Bauer said.

The stand will not only provide the company with manufacturing space for its treats, but also will help take the business from seasonal to year-​round, he said.
