Glazin’

I really wanted to like this place. I think the revitalization in York is phenomenal and I am a fan of supporting local businesses. However, I have been here three times and each time I am disappointed not only in the donuts but also the coffee.
The first time I was here the donut selection was very limited ~4 types. My boyfriend and I each had two and they were dry and really lacking flavor considering they were flavored donuts! The latte was bitter and not very hot.
I went a second time on my own and again, dry donuts but a wider variety– didn’t even bother with coffee. The third time the boyfriend came along again and we were both disappointed in the selection, the lack of flavor and dryness of the donuts. He got a chocolate milk and it was barely flavored and my coffee was again bitter.
Kudos for being able to carry-​out beer and for the location and style of the place plus a nice amount of seating. I am sure I will try them again because I want to like them, I just can’t at the moment. The food isn’t worth the price, even for a treat!

Great addition to York … Definitely try the apple fritter !! Recommend stopping here when visiting town … Friendly staff and nice Art Deco façade.

Stopped in for a donut and a beer yesterday afternoon and were very pleased! The donut selection was dwindling, but it was later in the day so that’s understandable. They also have a refrigerator with beer options, both singles and six packs, and a full coffee menu. There is plenty of seating at tables, high tops, and a counter.
I had a mint chocolate chip and my friend had a cluster (?) donut, both of which were very good. The donuts are $ 3.25 I believe, which is a bit high, but hey, treat yourself. The atmosphere is very nice and bright, and all in all we really enjoyed our visit.

Great stop for fresh and unique donuts. Tried the Mom-​Osa (pop rocks on top made my morning) and pineapple fritter. Both were moist and amazing. Cool décor, clean eatery and bathrooms. Latte and Café au Lait were both perfectly made. Can’t wait to go back to back to try something else! Don’t let the comments on the price keep you away. These donuts are on another level than your standard places. Support your local business! PS… you can buy cold beer to go.

THESE ARE MY FAVORITE DONUTS! They’re so squishy and sexy. I love sticking my pipe in these donuts especially the glazed ones cause they provide their own lube. Sometimes I get 6 of them and stack them on one of another. I also had a set of ribs removed so I can help myself without my girlfriend and it tastes like glazed! Definitely go here!

A little pricey, but was kinda of expecting that walking in to a place that brags about their doughnuts. Has a great variety of flavors which makes it worth it!

I was disappointed at Glazin because while the location is visually attractive, the doughnuts just weren’t very good. The hot drinks are great but a place whose concept is around doughnuts should just have a larger selection and better quality doughnuts. The doughnuts seemed a little stale actually being almost tough.
I do like that there is available parking but I wouldn’t count on that too much as there seems to be mostly neighbors parking in the spots.

The restaurant is aesthetically awesome — with cool indie music playing over the speakers, art on the walls (of donuts), and plenty of seating. There is definitely a hipster vibe — and I’m sure it’s manufactured as such. It was clean inside and the staff were polite. There is also a little parking lot kind of near there — and lots of street parking, so it’s easy to get to.
However — it all comes down to the donuts. I ordered the York Peppermint Pattie donut — a chocolate donut with peppermint filling. It was $ 3.25 — which was shocking in and of itself. It’s not like I didn’t know that these donuts would cost more than I’d be able to grab at a grocery store or Dunkin Donuts, I just didn’t realize it’d be *that* much more. I mean, they are made fresh, and there are a lot of funky varieties and different flavor combinations. Plus you have to consider that you’re paying for the experience of hanging out in a cool space.
If my donut had blown me away, I may have felt the price was worth it. But it just didn’t. There was barely any of the filling inside — instead I was biting into a donut with a empty middle and then a tiny corner of filling in the back. When I was unsatisfied with my initial purchase I ordered a strawberry ring donut. It tasted fresh and moist and if I went back I’d get something similar again.
Overall, I wouldn’t ever make a special trip to come to this place. If I happened to be in York again and I wanted to grab a coffee and one of the cheaper ring-​ed donuts, I’d stop by. Still, if you want to hang out in a pretty cool environment and are prepared to spend some cash for a donut — this is your place.

This place is awesome! A little pricier than say your Maple Donuts or your Dunkin Donuts, but you cannot argue with the quality! The place is pretty hipster-​ish, but its an awesome concept. The donuts were out of this world. There are certain times to go, because as a smaller business they don’t have as much in stock on a regular basis (my guess is they are trying to figure out the high and low points of each day so as to not waste resources). The staff is very friendly and there are postings about all the things going on in York, which shows their connection to everything. Oh, and this places sells a ton of microbrew beers behind the counter! Ignore the negative comments and support your local businesses!

This place is great. A little pricey, but God forbid an upper class place find its way into York. With that said, the hot drinks are made to order and great.
Get the bigger ones.
Not sure where these other reviews are getting their donuts or their information. I happen to be a donut expert. These donuts are clearly more than just deep fried sugar, food coloring and flour. Some of the toppings are phenomenal. Chocolate peanut butter or the mixed berry are personal favorites.
Im not a drinker, but something about donuts and beer sounds just swell. Maybe another time.

In short, I don’t see myself returning here.
The restaurant is clean and well decorated. The staff is super friendly. I was disappointed with the limited and small the selection of doughnuts. I mean they didn’t even have a traditional glazed doughnut and they are called «glazin». The image of the doughnut display case is literally it for their entire selection. This place is a huge miss if they cannot provide the product they are named after. The doughnuts we did get were average and okay. I did not try the coffee or beer there.

Let me start with the good — the staff was friendly enough. And now for the not so good. First off there was a beer tasting going on so the place was incredibly noisy, although I don’t imagine this happens often. My girl and I got 4 donuts, and not one of them was impressive. We paid $ 2.50 a piece for each donut and they varied in size, one of which was a smores filled donut. I have no idea how a small lemon poppyseed donut costs the same amount as a much larger one that is filled. Also, the flavors were nothing to write home about. We also shared a large iced vanilla latte since they were out of iced coffee. It wasn’t bad but for $ 4.50 we’ve had better. It’s a shame because we were hoping this would be a cool donut shop we could check out whenever we were in the area visiting relatives.

my first visit today. Sorry to say, I found the donut tasteless with a bit of lard flavor, and the coffee too bitter for my taste. Nice young woman waited on us and atmosphere is great.

Visited on opening day and on Valentine’s. The staff seems pleasant enough. However on both visits service was slow… for coffee and donuts. My butter pecan donut was a little undercooked in the center and my Special lady friend’s Boston cream did not have any cream in the middle… underwhelmed.

Delicious and huge coffee portions! I’ll always support a business like this and Robs. May have to park down the street but that’s not that big of a deal. Cool atmosphere. They also have beer!

Best donuts in York and top notch coffee. This place is an absolute must. It is owned by the founder of Roburrito’s, and if you know anything about Rob’s, you’re not going to be surprised by how awesome this new coffee/​donut shop is. If you like cake donuts, or regular donuts, they have both. I want more of these donuts in, and around, my mouth.
