If you are craving dominos from your college days… get a jets pizza… ordered a blt pizza and a medium deep dish sausage… Yuck on the blt… Way too thin and tasteless… I guess what goes on in Michigan should stay in Michigan and don’t try to compete with Chicago style pizza! I gave it one star because delivery was quick!

The deep dish pizza is super greasy and quite tasty. Also seems to be pretty cheap.

Deep dish pizza and I go a ways back. I had friends in college who were from Chicago, and when I’d visit them, frequently, I’d dine in at Geno’s East, or Giordano’s Pizza, or get a Lou Malnatti’s pizza because I love the flavor of that amazing Chicago-style deep dish. Fast forward a few years, and now, living in the Ann Arbor area, I can see why a Detroit-style square deep dish pizza is just as awesome. Great toppings, tasty sauce, and a buttery, crunchy crust make for absolute perfection for me. I realize that it’s chain pizza, but Jet’s sauce seems to have a really great unctuousness to it that just leaves you happy. Its mouth-feel is really pleasant, in other words. Not something I’d usually say about a chain pizza. Their All Meaty is an excellent pie, and arguably some of the best pizza in the Ypsi area(with the lone exception — maybe — of Cottage Inn). So why four stars? Their delivery service. While we live in Ypsi, apparently, Jet’s refuses to deliver to us — we’re «on the edge of their delivery area» despite being less than five miles from the store itself. What gives?

I work at a small retail store at Briarwood Mall and we order this all the time when it’s busy. It really hits the spot when customers have been pissing you off for 5 hours straight. Not everyone is crazy about jets because it is just about the greasiest thing you will ever eat. It’s deep dish square pieces of pizza. It is soooo good. And, I hear it is great hangover food for the morning after. If you are a fan of deep dish, you will love it! By the way– Jet’s regular pizza is NASTY! Don’t do it.

Its a fall Sunday afternoon. You were out swilling jaeger until 2am the night before. Now its noon and you’re praying for the sweet release of death. Barring that, something to make life worth living again. These are the circumstances where Jet’s rules. You call them up for a large deep dish and some Jet bread. It arrives just before kick off of the 1 o’clock games. 7 hours later you’re still on the couch, feeling lathargic, convincing yourself that you can eat the last piece cold, so you don’t have to go to the kitchen to microwave it. Your all day affair is complete, and hey, you know what sounds good? More booze!

Pizza is excellent. Once someone i was with was drunk, ordered a couple of HUGE pizza’s, and asked me to pick up the pizza’s.(i really did not want to pick up a pizza for a drunk person at 3 am. but even more i did not want jets never to let us order from them again) when i got home with about 40 or so slices of the deepest dish pizza ever, the drunk was passed out. I was not too happy.

This will be short and sweet: this pizza is not for everyone, but it is my favorite pizza to get in the Ann Arbor/Ypsi area.(Its a small southeastern Michigan chain) Jet’s deep dish, sqaure is about and 11/2″ thick, with super crispy bottom and edges. They use the BEST toppings, and even though their«large sqaure» looks small, it fills you up fast. Worth the price, if you’re really into the thick, bread-y pizza. People here on the east coast are not exactly fanatics of thick crust or deep dish– so this is truly a midwestern delight. Order and eat with confidence. P. S. their pizza tastes amazing days after ordering! Never dry and gross.
