Was told they had a book in stock that I needed and they didn’t. I tried to find someone that worked there to help me, but couldn’t find anyone other then the cashiers that were on the registers. In order to leave I had to bumb into everyone and their momma. Oh and if you hope to find somewhere to park within a few blocks you won’t be able to.

If I had an EMU fan or alum I wanted to buy stuff for, I’d go to Ned’s. Not being an Eastern Michigan University student, I can’t comment on the prices for textbooks at Ned’s. However, they had a large selection of school supplies and EMU gear, including sweatshirts, stuffed bears and EMU-logo flip-flops. Parking is on the street, and while that’s fine during slow times, it might be a little hairy during the autumn rush. As opposed to a previous Unilocal reviewer, I didn’t find the staff rude. They were maybe a little overly attentive, though. I prefer a more hands-off approach and like to browse on my own. It might have just been because it was really slow when I was there. I think I was one of two customers, which isn’t surprising considering I was there in July, and they probably do most of their business right before fall semester starts and then again before the winter semster starts.

Don’t let the name fool you this is was once a independent bookstore that was gobbled up by a big text book machine. Crappy service, crappy return polices and fake school pride. The only green and white they love is your money. Buy your books online, you will save a TON of money.

The staff was pompous, the expect every student to shoplift, and generally treated the students poorly.
