The Pines of Cloverlane

I have lives at the pines for less then 4 weeks. I came home from work yesterday to find my apartment broken into. I contacted management and their only response was we are sorry, we could move you, but it’s not our fault and we take no responsibility. Random stuff happens, but when a thief has to get through 2 locks to break into my apartment one the front door that is suppose to be lock and a security door and then my deadbolt, you would hope the people who you are renting from would have more sympathy or even care! Nope not at the pines, this is not there problem and they don’t care. The only reason they even changed my door Locks was because the police told them they had to. Also they tried to make it my fault, so I will be breaking my lease and having my lawyer handle the situation! They are a complete scam I should have caught on sooner when they messed a ton of things up before I moved in. I want an apartment complex who cares and has dignity to give there clients the best not just enough to get the rent check!

Nice place, lots of amenities, and nice office folks. Dog and goose crap everywhere. Can’t let my daughter play outside or walk my dog without being on high alert. Main drag is like the autobahn. Dogs aren’t allowed to bark without you getting lease violations. Neighbors aren’t allowed to talk out their concerns with each other unless babysat by an office staff member. My specific apartment (which will be vacant as soon as I can get out) has had several plumbing issues, flooring issues, and the closet doors never stay n the tracks. Expect maintenance (mostly nice people) to be like roommates if you get a unit like mine, bc it’s been 3 months of trying to find time to get them here when I’m available. They accommodate on time during normal business hours, so not bad, but when they replaced my toiled handle they left the one one in the sink and it took 2 tries to get my sink to stop backing up into my dishwasher and stinking up my apartment.
I’m looking forward to moving on. Glad my brother’s friend got 300 for me moving in although even she is moving out. Sales… it’s all pretty from the outside.

I have lived in apartments for 20 years all over the country. I have never received the kind of warm welcome that I received at The Pines! Casey did an awesome job showing me available apartments and all the amenities. The entire office team hugged me the day I moved in! They are so nice, upbeat, and genuinely happy to see people whether you’re just checking out the property or becoming a resident. On the day I moved in, I was delighted to find a nice laundry basket as a welcome gift with a message signed by all of the office staff. That’s never happened anyplace I’ve lived. These guys are over the top nice!
Also, I had looked around the area a lot in a short time because I needed to move to the area very quickly. The Pines is just far enough away from everything that you feel like you’re out in the country, but in truth US 23 and I 94 are each about a mile away and any store you could want or need is within a 10-​minute drive.
I work for U of M, one of The Pines preferred employers so there were several discounts for which I was eligible.
I’m really happy with my decision to make The Pines my new home.

I was really disappointed when we had to move out of the Cherry Hill Village-​Uptown apartments in Canton, but was very pleased with our experience at The Pines. We spoke to Tony, who also gave us a tour of the apartments. I can’t say enough good things about him or Victor and Lauren. The three of them have always been so friendly and professional, which both my hubs and I greatly appreciated. I have to say, I’ve been pretty fortunate when it comes to having nice and efficient landlords/​housing management, but the Pines in Washtenaw Co by far, out does any place else I’ve stayed.
I truly believe your neighbors could make your lease a living hell or a comfortable environment and thankfully, for us, it was peaceful and honestly have no complaints. But if I were to love directly under college boys, I definitely wouldn’t have been. Thankfully we lived on the first floor, so we weren’t effected by them.
The gym here is definitely the smallest I’ve seen, but love the fact that you can head over to the Hampton apartments next door and use their use (during office hours). Since I wasn’t training for a MMA fight, everything I needed was in the gym. The machines desperately need an upgrade, but it’s in working condition and they do have a pretty good selection of free weights.
I never got to utilize the laundry room or the pools, but I did take advantage of the clubhouse, which is located directly above the leasing office. Only downside is it closes at 10 pm, so plan on going to the Dude or other ²⁴⁄₇ libraries in town to pull an all-​nighter.
During the winter time, they do a pretty good job plowing the parking lot and sidewalks. And maintenance can be quick about work orders. There have been times where they forgot about us, but nothing a call to the office didn’t fix!
As far as rent goes, we got pretty lucky because our rent dropped around $ 70, from when they first quoted us. The management company uses a matrix, which means the price of the unit can change on a daily basis. For us, because we moved during the fall, rent was cheaper to begin with and I guess the actually day that you move can be cheaper or more expensive. The apartment is also pet friendly and charge $ 25 per pet, with a $ 250(?) non-​refundable deposit and $ 100 refundable deposit.
Another great thing about these apartment is that it is right off the 94 freeway and far away enough from both UM and EMU. I would definitely recommend renting from the Pines. I would definitely come back if my hubs and I move back to Michigan.

This place needs an upgrade. Windows are from the late 1900s and my apartment actually had snow and frost on the inside this winter. The entrance has more potholes than the Ho Chi Minh trail circa 1964. You can see this for yourself if you’d like to lay credence to my review. When you call for maintenance, it takes forever for them to come because they are riddled w/​requests. The blinds are cheap junk and haven’t been updated in years. The price is too much but people pay it for the location which is about the only possitive. The owners should reinvest some of their profits in lieu of customer satisfaction but don’t hold your breath. Place is a dump in a great convenient location.

I love everything about my apartment. From the floor plan to the beige paint (rather than just drab, white walls), to the close proximity to I-​94, US 23, and Ann Arbor. It’s all perfect. I have had nothing but positive experiences with the staff, Lauren and Tony are one of a kind and always remember me. The few encounters I have had with maintenance have been positive. Yes there are geese, occasionally the neighbors get a little rowdy — accept that you’re dealing with nature and living in a building with 11 other occupants and carry on. I can’t recommend this place enough, I absolutely love it.

I love this place. The management always remembers me and where I live. If something goes wrong they are quick to fix it, and the rates are reasonable for the type of quiet community.
