Advanced Eyecare an Optometric Corp

Both my husband and son had new patient appointments for exams and new glasses today. The office was very clean and modern with all the latest technology. Both visits were extremely efficient and informative. The staff was friendly, helpful and welcoming. The doctor had a great chairside manner and was extremely professional and pleasant. The exams were the most thorough they’ve ever had and even included images of the eyes which they have never had before. My husband had an injury to his right eye over 20 years ago which resulted in him having only peripheral vision in that eye. The image of his eye showed the huge scar which blocks his vision and it was amazing to see that! The office even emailed him the pictures of his eyes at his request. The doctor made special recommendations for the type of lenses and glare protection my husband would benefit from most. However he did not recommend that additional extra expense for my son in an effort to «upsell». There was no pressure to get a bunch of features to increase the price of the glasses. When it came time to pick out the glasses the staff member clearly explained our insurance benefits and what our costs would be. We have 3 kids in college who have been wearing glasses since they were very young. In all the years of seeing optometrists this office was the best experience we’ve had. I really can’t say enough about how pleased I am! I work at a dental office that stresses personalized patient care, so I’m a pretty tough judge of customer /​patient care standards; all of my expectations were met or exceeded during the visits today. We will definitely be continuing care with this office!

Absolutely miserable experience. Took me two months to get an appointment. When I finally got to my appointment, I waited over an hour in the exam room only to be told my insurance couldn’t be verified and it turned into an absolute fiasco. I gave them my insurance info two months ago and you’re just NOW verifying it? Long story short, I really liked Dr. Takher and how he explains everything but the office staff is mediocre, lacks professionalism, and doesn’t quite seem to know what they are doing. I’m still waiting to get my contacts. It’s been two months. I’ve tried calling three times and nobody can give me a clear answer as to when I’m getting them. And they were already paid for. The office is very beautiful and modern, but that is not enough to make up for poor customer service.
