Our optometry practice provides general eyecare services including prescriptions for eyeglasses and contact lenses. We offer value-​priced contact lens fitting services for new wearers and prescription renewals for experienced wearers. We treat eye infections and minor eye injuries, and provide dilated eye health examinations for patients with diabetes and high blood pressure. If you have any eye or vision issue, we’re your most likely first stop. For your convenience, we participate on most vision insurance panels.

Established in 2010.

Although this eye clinic has been located here in the Yuba City Wal-​Mart for over 11 years, Dr. Brendel took over this office in February 2010 after selling his long-​standing Sacramento practice.

Business Owner

Dr. Jerome L Brendel has been practicing optometry since 1984 with expertise in the areas of ocular pathology and disease detection, ocular therapeutic drug management, contact lenses, pediatric and geriatric optometry, cataract surgery comanagement, laser refractive surgery management, as well as general family optometry.

Dr. Brendel has been a consultant for Sacramento television channels KCRA and CW31, appearing in numerous reports regarding vision care. He has also served as a professional eyecare opinion and resource for The Tom Sullivan radio broadcast on Sacramento talk station 1530. In addition, he has appeared in numerous print, online, and video promotional projects for Sacramento-​based vision care provider Vision Service Plan.

After establishing his private practice as one of Sacramento’s most prestigious eyecare destinations over the past two decades, Dr. Brendel elected to transfer ownership in 2009 to pursue a career with FirstSight Vision Services in Yuba City, CA.
