Established in 1978.

Goldsboros Bakery was started in the 70’s. Mr. Goldsboro was a master baker in the army in the sixties and moved to Arizona shortly after. He managed several big chain grocery stores before opening Goldsboros in 1978.

I’ve had better pancakes, but their donuts were excellent. Almost as good as Krispy Kreme donuts. Do not accept the jell based custard it tastes off. It looks like either a lemon or pineapple jell but isn’t.

My experience with Goldsboro was excellent. I live in San Diego but most of my husband’s family is in Yuma and Texas, so we were having our baby shower in Yuma. I was stressed about a bakery since I’m not familiar with bakeries in Yuma, but I decided to give Goldsboro a call and they were extremely helpful. The girl over the phone (I forgot her name, Michelle I think) was very helpful and let me pay by card over the phone. She also had me send in a copy of my baby shower invitation so they could match the design on the cake. The cake came out so cute! And it was yummy – vanilla chocolate chip. It was a big cake but my guests ate most of it b/​c was so good. The price was also very reasonable. Thanks Goldsboro!

Don’t like cakes but I like theirs, German Chocolate is my favorite, everything is made fresh daily with no preservatives. The staff is friendly and the has a good country feel about it. One of Yuma’s best treasures that’s why their Yuma’s Best for 17 years in a row.

They have a decent breakfast also. I have been in here for a burrito and today a omelette. The burrito was hot and tasty. The omelette was hot with gooey cheese oozing out as I cut it.
They give you a donut with breakfast. Service is good.

Well never eat there again. Lady was rude and a guy brings in a gun case, takes out a AR 15 to show the guy working there. Straps it around his neck. Sorry your pastries are not that good either.

I needed a cake for a high school reunion so I contacted Goldsboro Bakery. I was greeted on the phone by a friendly woman who assisted me with ordering a cake that would feed my size of group. I ordered a half sheet of chocolate/​vanilla marble cake with buttercream frosting. The woman assured me the cake would fit inside a regular-​sized fridge, and it did. The cake was ready when I arrived to pick it up (and I had called earlier in the week to bump up the pick-​up time so I was pleased they were able to accommodate). It was decorated nicely, packaged well so it transported easily, and was well-​liked by all. I will likely contact Goldsboro Bakery in the future if I need another cake.

The woman who waited on us was very rude, abrasive, no social skills whatsoever! She snapped at us with sarcasm and critical retorts… They might make a good donut or cake, but put on a bullet proof vest if you have to deal with this gal for any questions. Obviously they weren’t interested in my business. It escapes me that my experience was that bad, since the reviews were so positive, but I will never go into that bakery again, nor will my family. No, never again and anyone who asks I will tell them how bad the service was. I wouldn’t even give them one star.

Worst bakery ever!!! I trusted them to make my wedding cake and they could not follow simple decorating instructions. They kept the decorative items I purchased and didn’t even put them on my cake because they were placed with a different order! When I called crying on my wedding day, I didn’t even get a sorry from them; the only thing they said was,“we’ll give you a discount on your next purchase.” I will NEVER walk through their doors again! They knew I had an out of town wedding so I couldn’t go back to have them fix it. Big thanks to San Diego Desserts for decorating it the way I wanted, and letting me know whoever made my cake not only overcharged for what they gave me, but didn’t know what they were doing, they even put my cake onto decorative cardboard.

We were visiting the Imperial Sand Dunes and needed a birthday cake. Drove into Yuma and found this place. They only had a couple of cakes in the case, but none were white cakes like the birthday boy had requested. They frosted one up really quick and they even gave me a package of candles at no charge. The cake was moist and flavorful, and the service was great. Didn’t get a chance to try the donuts or other lunch items, but the prices looked great.

ALWAYS come here when in Yuma. Much nicer since they moved to a new location across the street from their old location. When we first discovered they had vacated the old location, we stood around staring at their old door like a kid whose parents have moved out while he was at the movies.
Then we became aware of the faint sound of someone yelling… it was employees across the street madly waving their arms to get our attention that they had moved… across the street. That’s when we noticed the BIG flag fluttering in the breeze, announcing their new location… across the street.
LOL how embarrassing. We were like turkeys who could not find the food bowl after it had been moved a foot away. Guess we weren’t the only ones…
Great doughnuts when fresh (if we can get our butts up that early) and even better with a discount a few hours later.

My experience at Goldsboro Bakery was great. The staff were very friendly. It was around noon, and I just wanted to take home a few donuts for family that would be driving in from Phoenix later. Since it was noon, they gave me a discount on a dozen. I was going to get plain glazed, and they recommended that I try some of their specialty donuts.
I got the donuts home, and OH MY GOSH! If these are the «discounted» donuts, I can’t imagine how delicious fresh ones are. I highly recommend the buttermilk donut. Their apple fritters were good, and my son loved the chocolate covered sprinkle donuts.
The donuts are good enough to make the trip up to Goldsboro Bakery. Couple that delicious donut with great, friendly staff, and you have a winner!
