Very professionally run and safe!
I went out to watch my nephew tandem jump for the first time. I appreciated the efficiency and competency of the program. All jumpers go through a safety briefing to cover the program and answer questions. They monitor the wind and weather continuously and are responsibly cautious. At one point they delayed jumps for gusting wind and even cancelled tandem jumps when the weather was slightly off — impressive! They gave out return vouchers for a safer weather day when this occurred.
The laid back atmosphere of the camp-​y facility is calming to new folks and the regulars were so friendly. Some of the costumes of the regular jumpers and teams are entertainment in themselves. Check out the website because it provides details on the jumping options and camping choices. They have tent sites and campers to rent. It is basically field camping but they do have a bath house with showers.
Bring a chair and go out and watch even if you do not have an interest in jumping. There is a large covered area with picnic tables but they do fill up. It is dusty since it is next to the Zephyrhills airport runways so wear casual clothes and sunscreen/​water are good bring alongs.

This is a must see ! We take all of our visitors to see them skydiving ! We have got to see some of the competitions where they fly over a small waterway and tip their toes in the water as they were landing ! Great for the whole family ! Might take a chair !

This place is great! Just had my first skydiving experience here and it was amazing. I felt safe the entire time!
I did the tandem skydive with Scott and got the outside video option. Bob recorded our video. They were both great and I’m so glad i did it.
They definitely deserve your business! I made sure to look into all my options before doing it for the first time, trying to find who has the best reviews and sound safest and it sounded like they were the best option around the Tampa bay area. The staff is friendly and love what they do and put your safety first. I’d give them more stars if I could!

There are certain things that only certain people will do, and skydiving is one of them. My father and I decided one morning that we wanted to go skydiving & we went to Skydive City in Zephyrhills. The people are meticulous about safety and training all jumpers ahead of time. The prices are reasonable and the ongoing safety checks were very reassuring to us.
We went up in the plane with our tandem instructors who constantly gave is instructions and reassurance. Upon jumping, it was very windy and noisy. But, after pulling the rip cord to deploy our parachute, everything was completely quiet and totally peaceful. To this day, I tell people it was one of the most incredible things I’ve ever done! Give Skydive City a try you won’t be disappointed!

On July 30^th did my first tandem jump with Scott and it was f a b u l o u s! Everyone is professional and no need to be worried. They know what they are doing. I will be back to jump again! Thanks everyone

What an amazing experience at Sky Dive City! Not once did I ever feel unsafe or worried because the staff there are experienced, friendly and make you feel at ease. This was my first sky dive and it will not be my last! My tandem partner, Eilyah, was so great! He made sure I was in good hands, checking my harness and straps at least 8 times before the jump. Their plane is awesome too! Super big and new ! Not a scary rickety one.
The actual experience of sky diving is surreal and one of the most amazing things I have done. You can’t know till you do it yourself and when you do, come to Sky Dive City!

Simply put this is the best place on earth!
Staff and locals are super welcoming and professional. I drive 15 hours for a long weekend because Skydive City is just that worth it. If your wanting a tandem, looking for your license, a casual fun jumper to a super competitive swooped or free flier Zhills has got you covered. Rental rigs, gear store, full rigging services and packing all at competitive and reasonable prices. At the end of the day hang out at the bird house for an end of day libation and you’ll most likely enjoy it with the who’s who from the skydiving industry.
Can’t say it enough Zhills is simply the best place on earth.

An awesome skydiving mecca in the middle of nowhere. Great people, great equipment. Be prepared to wait for a few hours if you’re going in for a tandem jump on a busy day.

One of my favorite DZ’s thus far. I come out to Florida for work twice a year. I asked a bunch of my skydiving friends which dropzone I should jump at. Zhills was always mentioned. When I got there, it was super cloudy and the air was moist. We were on a weather hold for a bit, but apparently I got there right on time because it was eventually lifted. I was a little nervous as I didn’t know anyone there. However, once I received my debrief on the landing zones, I was introduced to one person after another. It was my first time (beer!!) jumping as a newly licensed skydiver, so I got with the LO who set me up with a bunch of amazing and friendly experienced skydivers and we did a 5 way and 4 way for my jumps. The view from above is so beautiful! Lots of greenery and beautiful clouds. Makes great pictures too. Lol. I made friends that I still keep in touch with and I will definitely go back to jump some more when I visit Florida. :)

So this one time I went sky diving, and HOLY CRAP!
We first pulled up to a little business about half a mile up the road from Skydive City. I was thinking of leaving because there was no way I was going to let that Podunk operation throw me out of a plane. They informed us that we were not in fact at Skydive City. I was much happier with the situation down the road at the real location.
Be forewarned, your scheduled time is not when you are jumping. In fact, you will get to see a lot of people land before you ever actually jump. For me, that helped ease my nerves. Our wait was even longer than what is probably normal because we had to keep waiting for wind to die down and clouds to disperse.
My tandem instructor was very informative and nice. He explained what I needed to do at all stages of the jump and joked around a little to help calm me down.
When I landed safely to the ground, I breathed a sign of relief. This was an incredible experience made possible by Skydive City. Awesome stuff!

Been to hundreds of different drop zones and this one definitely stands out. Facilities are constantly looked after and clean. Full service bar and a sandwich shop open till 4−5pm. The employees seem pretty cool. The scenery doesn’t get any better than this, unless that is you find your self on the north shore of Hawaii.

My wife had purchased a tandem jump for my birthday. We were not sure what to expect since it was the first time for both of us. Jeff and Scott were complete professionals and awesome! They taught us everything we needed to know about safety and the adrenaline rush we were about to experience. Billy, the videographer was phenomenal as well. The talent that he has to capture the entire experience is extremely amazing!
The experience itself was such a rush! Afterward, your mind will continue to question, «did I really jump out of a plane at 13,500 feet and hit a speed of around 120mph?» The answer will be «yes» as a smile quickly fills your face and memories flood your mind. I would recommend that everyone experience skydiving with Skydive City!!!
Just a quick note: no ones face looks good falling at 120mph.

Great place to go skydiving. Granted, I watched, as my daughter went on her High School graduation present, jump. Very efficient from start to end. Her tandem instructor was very nice and explained how everything would take place. We did the video, with a pre-​interview, so I was able to watch it afterwards and see what took place up in the plane before and during the jump (getting the video is a must). The landing was soft and they gave us the video to watch on site a few minutes after touchdown. Staff did a great job on making it interesting with their customized edits and putting it to music, along with a pre and post interview with my daughter. She gave it two thumbs up and would definately do it again.

When your dream is to fly, you have to be careful. Go to the wrong place, and the disappointment of a bad experience can be more than wasted money, but the loss of the dream.
I wanted to fly.
Skydive City was my only choice. This is not simply a business, but a mecca for those who cherish a few minutes in the skies and carry that feeling like a junkie going through withdrawls, until the next descent. This place is by Skydivers, FOR skydivers. Whether you are a purist or a tourist, they strive to make sure they share with you the exhilaration that has made them choose this calling. Everyone… EVERYONE at Skydive City that I met was nice, patient, warm, welcoming, professional and most importantly, excited about what they did.
The place is in the middle of nowhere in beautiful, scenic Zephyrhills and consists of a series of buildings and a landing strip. Check-​in is easy and they make sure you get through quickly and get setup for your free-​fall. The staff is awesome, which makes the experience even better. There isn’t too much waiting around and you get boarded quickly, ascent fast and then, at 13,500 feet, you are cordially dropped off. Terminal Velocity in 2.8 seconds and 60 seconds of free fall later, your life changes and the experience of a skydive becomes something that instantly becomes one of the most vivid and cherished of your life. Not once did I feel anxious, nervous or worried. From the professionalism of the staff, to the condition of the plane and equipment, I felt confident that I was in good hands.
So, if you want to fly too, this place is it. Next up, certification.

Great drop zone. The instructors are nice and professional, which can also be said for the place in general. There are accommodations should you want to stay for a few day, and bathrooms and shower open to all visitors. There is also a small snack bar that serves any need, from muffins to pizzas.
Personally I only got to train and jump with the AFF instructors, but I could tell by the students that the tandem instructors were also top notch.
During my stay I broke my hand on a particularly clumsy landing, and was immediately given painkillers and a ride to the local hospital.
If you want a professional skydiving experience in a friendly atmosphere, I heartily recommend Skydive City.

When I was looking for work, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t basing some of my decision on applying for a job based on its proximity to a dropzone. Landing a job in FL was golden, as it gave me the multitude of options of where to go to train to become a licensed skydiver. Skydive DeLand and Skydive City/​Z-​Hills were closest, and the top picks. I had heard great things about DeLand’s student program, but ultimately chose Z-​Hills due to its reputation of being a popular, world class dropzone for fun jumpers.
Other than my tandem jump at NorCal Skydiving, I can’t compare Skydive City to any other dropzones. What I can attest to is that coming here has allowed me to meet some great people (not only local residents and those from other parts of the country, but from all over the world). Driving over an hour out of my way to get here, only to be placed on a weather hold as a student and not being able to jump all day is never a waste. I always meet someone new and am constantly learning; 10 jumps or 10,000 jumps, you can never learn too much.
As dysfunctional as it may seem, it’s very much a family friendly atmosphere, and everyone’s welcome. The staff are excellent. I am newly off AFF, and the instruction was top-​notch. While the instructors obviously all differ in personality and temperment, each and every one of them take safety very seriously – important in a sport that involves hurtling toward the earth at over 120 mph.
There are campers for rent on site, and camping and RV parking are free. The beer is cheap, and the food is just enough to satiate your hunger pangs. The landing area is huge, and there’s a swoop pond. They’ve got events and classes going on every weekend.
The only downside I can see as a student is that they’re a bit more of a tandem factory on the weekends. So both students and tandems are both vying for an instructor’s attention, which can result in a long wait. (But more loads = more fun!)

Great company! Skydive city is the place to go if you have never been. Get the video. It’s well done and completely worth it.

I am a licensed skydiver and came her for the Christmas-​New Years Boogie in 2010. What an amazing dropzone. Such a great, homey feel to it, and the staff is super friendly. Awesome facilities, great aircraft, and plenty of people to jump with. If you’re able to visit for the New Years Boogie, bring your party pants — ZHills knows how to put together a great event. Thanks, Zhills, for being my first skydiving experience away from home! :)
