I’ve been to ACB many times over the past 3 years. The coffee is up with the best in Adelaide. The occasional alcoholic coffees really hit the spot, too. The range of paninis is good(although not my preferred type of food). The best things that really stand out are that the services is quick(even at peak times), the ambience of the shop is inviting(and a good place to go for a quiet chat), and, best of all, the proprietor, Fulvio, is a colourful character who loves to have a chat with his customers. He’s got some great stories to tell about his experiences in Adelaide, especially in Italian the car market. I don’t get to ACB enough these days as its a bit out of my way during the week but its at the top of my Adelaide coffee bars.

In my constant searching for good quality, well executed coffee I have found myself returning to Adelaide Coffee Bar on several occasions. It used to be that the guy was the only one I would order from, but today I had a coffee made by my favourite blonde chickie who works there and it was fab! The style of this small scale coffee joint is very Italian,(better coffee than Italy, thank goodness!). Fresh sandwiches, baguettes, half pizzas and a few toasted things… cakes and biscuits are all conservatively priced. The baguettes are quite healthy and the portion sizes are moderate, so thankfully you won’t float back to the office like a carb swollen blimp.

A cozy little Coffee joint on Grenfell. Not usually one for espressos but they knock up a fine energy boosting brew. They offer the usual café trade of sandwiches and light lunch options, a perfect accompaniment to the delicious coffee. Although Grenfell is always busy, it’s actually quite relaxing to sit outside and bask on a fine Adelaid-ian day.

The Adelaide Coffee Bar is a very cute café down Grenfell St, away from the loudness of Rundle Mall. It’s got a really nice atmosphere about it, with the wooden tables and cute art around the place, apart from the bars on the windows which actually kind of creeped me out a bit. I didn’t ask, but I think there may be alcohol available at times? As they had a number of bottles up along the wall behind the counter, along with bottles of the juices etc they have available. Not only is it a nice little café, but the coffee is very good.
