Treasury on King William or just the Treasury as the regulars know it, is the name given to the restaurant and bar housed in Adelaide’s award winning heritage listed Hotel the Adina Apartment Hotel Adelaide Treasury.

Located in the heart of the city opposite the GPO, it truly is an oasis in the middle of the city. Patrons can choose to eat in the courtyard, bar or restaurant soaking up some of the unique character of this heritage building that dates back to Adelaide’s colonisation in the late 1830’s.

The smooth funky bar offers a wide array of wines, bottled beers, premium spirits and of course a great bar menu. Items on this menu include sharing plates, pasta, pizza, burgers, soup and salads. Ideal for a quick bite.

Alternatively the restaurant next door provides a full a-​la-​carte dining experience with a seasonally changing menu and a wine list featuring the best of local and interstate wines and back vintages.

History

Established in 2002.

This stately, heritage-​listed establishment has graced the city’s central street since the 19^th century, but its historic façade gives way to a comparatively modern interior.

Located in Adelaide’s historic original treasury building in the city’s heart — opposite the GPO on King William Street — The Treasury offers several intimate function and dining spaces ideal for breakfast, lunch and evening occasions.

The contemporary interior décor provides a stylish corporate environment for meetings and catered events for small or large groups.

A finalist every year in the South Australian Restaurant & Catering Awards since 2003 and Winner of the Restaurant & Caterings Best Bistro award in 2004, 2008 & 2009 and Best Restaurant in a pub/​club/​tavern in 2011.
