This was wonderful! Definitely the ONLY place in Adelaide to get waffles. I had the Banana & Cinnamon Waffle with Vanilla Ice cream. SOGOOD!!! Crunchy, soft, warm, fresh and not too sweet. The perfect waffle. The café was clean & interesting, the wall murals were fun. The staff were nice & the food came out fast even though students were wandering in & out for their daily waffle fix. The price was good too. Utterly delicious. I want to go live here!

The absolute best place in Adelaide to get waffles. Been here on quite a few occasions. Belgium waffles are the way to go and they do it PERFECTLY here! Great crunchy texture and the sweetness of the waffles is just right. The fruit in particular the strawberries placed on the waffles here are fresh and wonderfully sweet. They are very generous with the icecream, cream and sauces on their waffles. It looks sickening but it really isn’t. Not too sweet, just perfect. I know if I ever have the cravings for some good waffles I know where to go!

You know when you think of waffles, what comes to mind? Hot, crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, drizzled with fresh fruit and oozing with chocolate sauce? Okay, so how do you feel after? I bit stuffed I bet! I’m here to change your mind on that stuffed, full, can’t-possibly-breathe-it-hurts feeling! I had a lovely and refreshing waffle experience at this adorable little place, tucked away in a side street, in the midst of Adelaide’s City. After looking at the menu, full of exciting waffle options(you’re mouth will water, I promise!), I landed on the strawberries and cream full size waffle. And before you ask, I already prepared myself by not eating lunch! When it arrived to the table, I was blown away by the size and presentation of this waffle beauty! Fresh strawberries — check! Fresh cream — check! And underneath it all, a big beautiful waffle. Now, here I am, to tell you that after I completed this baby, I was pleasantly surprised on how GOOD I felt! No stuffiness, no bloating! The waffle was light, fluffy, crispy on the outside and the toppings didn’t make me regret my waffle choice! If you’re looking for good service, beautiful scenery, savoury/sweet menu options and a waffle that makes you feel completely satisfied BUT light as a feather, then please make your way over to this lovely place. Enjoy!

This is such a perfect waffle café on the cutest street. I love the atmosphere of Leigh Street is reminds me of walking though the streets of Paris! If your feeling like something sweet, fast, cheap and delicious I recommend you come to Waffles and Coffee. This place is peaceful with mouth watering waffles. You can choose from sweet or savory, full or half, half sweet and half savory. Whatever, you want the staff are lovely enough to make it happen. I visit this place a few times a month and it’s been great and hasn’t let me down once, it’s a must try!

As I get older I get more bitter and so do my taste buds. My sugardometer no longer has the stamina it once has and night on the chocolate sauce makes Chloe go something, something… So you can imagine the trepidation when I walked into Waffle’s Waffle and it smelt of sugar, caramel and all that warming good stuff. But I am happy to report back I finished my half belgium waffle here with ice cream and strawberries minus the cray cray aftermath and sugar overload. It was so refreshing to have a dessert that wasn’t smothered in cream, chocolate sauce and syrup but was instead light, fluffy and fresh. For $ 8 I received a generous serving of vanilla ice cream and fresh, juicy strawberries with enough chocolate sauce to ensure the waffle wasn’t too dry or bland. The half serving was perfect for a morning tea sized snack. I’m really disappointed this place doesn’t open later for weeknight desserts and that is the only reason for a loss of star. But it is definitely worth trying on a weekend or early Friday night after dinner at Cos or drinks at Udaberri across the road.

Exceeding all expectations. I need to admit immediately I am not a waffle connoisseur apart from those gorgeous waffle ice cream cones! I did not have any seriously high expectations at our recent Unilocal unofficial get together but was VERY pleasantly surprised by the waffles from Waffles Waffle & Coffee(the name is self explanatory just in case you were wondering?! — except I think they also have non waffle breakfast items on the menus and smoothies/milkshakes as well!). Pretty much any sort of sweet waffle variation on the menu you could possibly want and the added benefit of being able to add extras like kiwi or strawberries or nuts etc. In other words if you desired you could create your own waffle wonderland! Not knowing how sweet or filling the waffles would be I chose a half serve of the cinnamon banana which had a perfect hit of sweetness — served obviously with cinnamon, banana, chocolate and ice cream. Sounds mega sweet but amazingly wasn’t. Also impressively the half waffle was light as a feather with no cloyingly oily after taste which I imagined as a batter it might have. The waffles would make a perfect after dinner alternative to the pancake kitchen — just one small problem — they are not open after 6.00pm. Missed opportunity guys!

Okay, I thought this place would be amazing because of the pictures, but honestly I was a bit disappointed. 1) vegan and lactose-free options are seriously lacking. 2) the waffle I had(the one with bananas and nuts) was scant on toppings 3) why not put some maple syrup on the tables? I am not one to drizzle maple syrup on my breakfast… I’m one to pour it on! 4) The prices are good for the leige waffles but over-priced for the belgian. Maybe I’m just harsh because I come from the land of all-night diners who know their waffles, but I wasn’t impressed.

I’ve walked past this place many times, so I was excited to come here as part of a Unilocal unofficial get-together! Firstly, what a huge menu! I was impressed and surprised at the prices, ranging from small $ 4ish waffles(which was way more than enough for my partner’s 6 year old), to half waffles(which were our choice after seeing how large half a waffle was!), right through to huge full sized waffles with ice cream and cream. We chose banana and cinnamon half waffle with ice cream — and it was absolutely delicious! Just the right consistency, and all the flavours melded perfectly. I’m not normally an ice cream fan, but the scoop was perfect with the combination of bananas and cinnamon. We had a pretty large table(around 12ish), and they had problems coping with that many orders at once — they’re obviously not used to large groups. Surprisingly for me … the long black I ordered was delicious! Who would have thought a waffle place would do good coffee? Bonus! All in all, I would definitely come back here to try out more of the menu — especially on a relaxed Saturday morning ;)

Good to see there is a waffle place in the city. Wouldn’t have known it was here since this is another part of town I haven’t yet discovered. Cute street. The place is cosy(was a bit hot), the waffles are sufficient in size(would have preferred more chocolate sauce), plenty of types to choose from, and the staff are friendly. Not a very busy place though. Maybe it is during the week? They do a good chai tea. I have yet to find a place that does a good chai latte though. A good little waffle place. Would love to see what else is down Leigh st as well.

Ah I can’t get enough of this place. I try and eat here whenever I am near Leigh Street! What I like about Waffle’s is that they produce delicious waffles that are the perfect size. I like to get the small ones(which are around $ 4) and that is satisfying without feeling like I’ve had a sugar and choccie overload! Having said that there are a range of sizes and toppings to choose from. It would be cute to share a large one on a date! The coffee is hit and miss(and I’m not a coffee connoisseur) but the deliciousness of the waffles always keeps me coming back for more. The décor is cute and there is plenty of seating indoors and out. Next time I’m going to try some of their all day breakfasts — if I can tear myself away from the waffles! ;-)

Hey! You! There is a WAFFLESHOPINADELAIDE! So… Waffles are delicious and when you get an option of savoury or sweet, you might as well just set up camp outside, because all of your food needs are in this place. The shop front is sweet and the waffles are always what you’ve imagined if you’ve never travelled to America or Europe, where waffles are prevalent. They are crunchy on the outside, hot on the inside and the chocolate and icecream melt deliciously into the gorgeous crevasses. They do good coffees and smoothies to boot!

Waffles with whipped cream for lunch. who am I, Lesley Knope? The correct answer is: I wish. Fellow sweet lovers will be a fan of Waffle’s. Smack bang in the cutest street in Adelaide(Leigh St, unfortunately just off of dirt bag central Hindley), it’s a waffle lover’s delight. The menu isn’t extensive and doesn’t need to be: choose either Belgian or Leige waffle base, add cream, fruit, nuts and ice-cream. Bam. Lunch of winners. The banana and chocolate syrup combo on a leige waffle is hard to go past for my money, though it is ridiculously sweet, even for me, who prefers a nutella topping. YOUHAVEBEENWARNED. There’s also a smattering of non-sweet foods like your good old bacon & eggs on the menu, but really, why would you order b&e’s at a waffle place? The smoothies are huge. I mean BIG, and also super sweet — there’s no way on the green earth I would be able to top one off along with a waffle. My suggestion: come hungry, sit outside in the sunshine, order the banana and ice cream waffle and enjoy the mellow vibes.

(Be prepared for a confusing use of the word ‘Waffle’) I could waffle about waffles all night. And some of the best are located at Waffle’s. The quintessential waffling waffle experience is here, it’s in the name of the place after all. There are two varies of waffle on the line up. The service will advise you with a friendly attitude. The classical Belgian waffle, larger and rotund in shape. Or partake in the Liege Waffle, smaller but richer than the Belgian. Grab toppings of ice cream, cream, fruit, and enjoy this luxurious desert. Customisation is a key aspect of fully participate in waffle gorging. As with the topping mentioned there’s also honey, chocolate, strawberry, banana, kiwi, or cream cheese to top it off. There’s also a breakfast menu for people that don’t want to indulge early in the day with staples for everyone to enjoy.

What shall it be… Belgian or Liege Waffles? Either one will hit the taste buds with a vengeance leaving no trace. The main difference between the two and the easiest way to remember is — B is for bigger and L is for little and both are big and bigger once covered in your choice of topping. Wash it all down with a coffee, tea or smoothie if you can fit it in. Located in Leigh Street with its French/Creole, cobbled road atmosphere it’s in a good location for those passing by looking for either a regular breakfast, a snack be it sweet or savoury waffles or dessert after exiting any of the nearby cafes and restaurants. One market not being targeted is the Hindley St late night hoards but perhaps there’s a good reason for that but still an opportunity missed. There is plenty of seating but not over crowded in this cosy little café, the colour scheme is subtle and I really like the cute decal on the walls.
