The Tiller Coffee

Excellent coffee. Excellent atmosphere. Incredible service. Tea took a little long so was offered another coffee for the wait. Will definitely be coming back.

This one is pretty much Lani’s fault! I notice her check-​ins here all the time and today I was in the area. Today was the day!
The Tiller works out of a shipping container and is right by the train tracks. They have a small area to sit and sip a coffee and munch on a bagel. Both of which I did on my visit. The coffee (Wolff Coffee), a flat white, delicious! The bagel, bacon & avocado and some heavenly relish, so good I definitely got it all over my face!
The Tiller was a beautifully peaceful spot for a spot of scrummy tucker, you can even see the tops of the city skyscrapers while you munch on your bagel and watch the trains go by.
It is kind of out of the way for me, but I would absolutely come back again, I mean there are a number of different bagel filling combinations so I guess I’ll have to just try them all!
Definitely recommend.
(update: I also used Shazam while I was there because they were playing amazing music)

Popped my Tiller cherry this morning and I’m so glad I did. Smashed a bacon and avo bagel that had the most delicious tomato jam/​chutney Jazz on it. Bagels are $ 12 so they’re a tad on the Posh and Becks side of the price scale. But we left satisfied and the ingredients were quality. Decent doppio… I’d give the coffee ⁸⁄₁₀.

This is my local — 150m from home — and I love it! Very laid back, perfect coffee and a small but perfectly formed café menu. The café is in a repurposed shipping container with seating outdoors. It’s hip. In a good way :)

This is one of my favourite coffee shops in Brisbane. These guys make amazing coffee and their food is so surprising good given how small their kitchen is. Recommend the brioche bun or the croissant! This place is a must for all coffee lovers.

Great coffee and very friendly, chatty staff. I also love the set up of this place. Such a great idea for a shipping container!
I so love their coffee, but would love to see an expanded menu at some point. Nothing too big, but just a few extra breakfast items and baked goods.

Glad they are in Northside ! Hard to get a great coffee around this area. Lovely atmosphere & friendly staff. I wasn’t too impressed with the Speed tho… you might have patiently wait for your beautiful coffee to land in your hand but this shouldn’t be too much concern after all.

Super friendly service and brilliant pastries from the local Artisan bakery crust. A menu which although concise includes a lovely egg and bacon brioche. Will be back.

Totally blown away by The Tiller.
Coffee is hands down the best in the area. The staff are friendly, Pastries from Crust & Co are to die for and not over priced! and the place just has a great overall atmosphere.
Really great music and vibes. I always walk away feeling blissed out and ready to tackle the day!

Absolutely impressed! For a small shipping container café in a smallish business area. These guys know coffee, with a bright teal LM machine and providing Aeropress and Chemex as options you can’t go wrong. They are really the only real coffee in the Newmarket area. With a great range of teas and cold drinks and so tasty pastries this is a great place for anyone who loves the café scene. Can’t forget that these guys have a great taste in music. Can’t say at any point I was disappointed, great atmosphere, great coffee and amazingly friendly owners. So give it a go.

Shipping container repurposed. Wolff Roast Coffee. Small pastry selection from what looks similar to Crust & Co Bakery (down the road and around the corner). Friendly owners. Quality coffee served. Easy to drink, knowing it’ll be one to enjoy. Aeropress, Chemex and filter brew also available. Watch this space!
