My friend and I were the only diners on a Monday evening, We had a fairly average antipasto platter to share, and my cappuchino was okay. Both of us ordered the day’s special — a salmon dish with a yoghurt salad. The salmon cutlet was big, grilled perfectly, resting on sadly a tiny few vegies. Unfortunately the yoghurt salad turned out to be cartoned fruit salad yoghurt! I wasn’t going to waste the lovely piece of fish, so I scraped the yoghurt to one side and ate it anyway. My friend however couldn’t eat a bite. Service was attentive — our server noticed straight away that my friend was not happy and offered to replace the meal with something else, but by that stage the night was over. I think we had the best(the salmon) and the worst(the yoghurt) on the same plate — I probably wouldn’t go back — even the best of places gets it wrong occasionally, but fruit salad yoghurt with salmon is just so bizarre I don’t know what to say.,

This is a nice place for a family brunch or dinner. Tasty food. Service is a little ‘green’ but they mean well. I havent had a bad experience here and I have been a few times.

The service here is non-existent. We booked a table for 5 and when we arrived were told the chef had gone on break and wouldn’t return until 5:30. We had a scoopon voucher which included a bottle of wine, which the waitress spilt all over the table whilst pouring. She had no idea about anything to do with the menu, her English was not great and she was very softly spoken as well with no confidence; none of which helped with the service side of things. The entrée took 15 minutes to come out after the chef finally returned, dip and bread. We were the only ones in the restaurant and had already been waiting since 5. Cold mashed pumpkin is not a dip. Not even any seasoning. Revolting. The mains were out at 6:10 and the kids were about ready to rip the place apart by then(having been there since 5 and just twiddling thumbs). The kids meals were excellent value and our meals were acceptable as well. Dessert was satisfactory however we had to pay $ 1 for a scoop of ice cream on the side. The manager ignored us the whole time with no apology for the inconvenience, the poor service, the bad entrée and the long wait times for food(particularly given the restaurant was empty). Very disappointing and I wouldn’t recommend nor return.

My fiancé and I decided to drop by the area last night for a random romantic night. While I would say our night was a success, the food was not. The garlic and parmesan entrée was nothing more than salt and parmesan on a pre-made store bought base. The chicken risotto was gluggy, extremely salty and devoid of any other flavour. I only ended up eating about 5 mouth full’s. The Garlic Prawn Linguini was chilli hot to the point of not being able to eat the food. Really excessive, and lacking any sauce at all. It was quite expensive considering the quality of the food. Avoid. Wine was good though.

I wasn’t expecting great things when I visited Di Vita for the first time but it managed to surprise me. It looks more like a take away place than a restaurant and the main reason we chose it was because it was quite empty compared to the cafes and restaurants around it. We changed our minds after we got a fantastic breakfast that I would definitely return for. I had a ham, corn and parmesan hotcake with poached eggs, bacon, hollondaise and rocket(check out the pictures) that was so good I ended up scraping the plate clean and resisting the urge to lick it. I almost didn’t get a photo as I was so keen to hoe into it! It came out very quickly and the staff were very friendly, the only complaint I have was that the coffee was probably the smallest I’ve ever seen.
