Always delicious, usually get a share platter which is more then enough food and an alcohol pitcher. Very decently priced and always hot and fresh! Tasty tasty! =) Service is friendly too

The jellyfish lamps are worth a visit in and of themselves. Too funny. We liked the airy outfit, colorful décor, and friendly service. Food is ordered at the counter but is brought out to your table. Drinks you pick up yourself and pay for separately at the bar. We were impressed with the fries. Very generous serving for $ 9.50 and just yummy. The fried squid was mostly good; excellent non-chewy consistency and different(nice!) seasoning. But definitely on the salty side. We didn’t like the seafood paella at all. Chorizo was nice, but the dish had so much tomato sauce! Never tasted a paella so incredibly tomato-y, and hope I never will again. The sticky date trifle(with double cream and vanilla icecream) was great. Highly recommended as a finisher to any meal. The chili mussels on the menu looks great(sadly sold out when we showed up on a Sunday afternoon at 1:30pm), so that’ll have to wait for a future visit.

BRILLIANT&FRIENDLY; I think it is safe to say that Clancys fish pub has now become the flagship watering hole for this area with excellent food with very friendly and professional staff. keep up the good work guys look forward to seeing you again.

Love this place!!! This is a rating for both the bar and the food. Both absolutely fabulous. We sat at the bar and had a couple drinks, had excellent service by Jergen and the rest of the staff. Ambiance is very comfortable, cheery, cool décor. I love the jellyfish lights in the entrance! The food is amazing! we ate at a booth in the bar. My sweetheart ordered chili mussels and I tried a few, yummmm! I ordered Barramundi fish with couscous entrée per the recommendation of Jergen and it was fantastic. Perfectly cooked fish on top of tasty couscous with a dollop of yogurt. It was flavorful and just enough. Prices reasonable, family friendly place. I enjoyed a nice shiraz as well which was very bold and tasty. This place is so much fun, very chill, will come back before I leave Australia! :)

This is a restaurant rating. Now I can’t speak for the bar side of things but as far as food goes it was a mixed bag. I will give it to them, they know how to cook fish properly for their selection of fish and chips, and the lentil burger was deemed yummy, however there isn’t much to be desired about their seafood chowder. It was watery, too salty and barely any seafood in it. Also the two small slices of baguette wasn’t anywhere near enough to mop up the lake left in my bowl. They also need work on their side salads/dressing the plate on their fish and chips. If this salad was a hair cut it would be homer Simpson’s measly two strand comb over. Clancy’s menu isn’t extensive, but it is a pub afterall, so you can expect pub food and pub food quality. I’d also love to pay tribute to the gorgeous jellyfish lights hanging down from the ceiling. It’s adorable and a fresh pop of playfulness and colour.

Monday night is quiz night. Found out by chance. Stopped in on the way home last night because the place looked warm and friendly. We werent dissappointed. The setup is interesting. Pub grub, fish and chips style. No waiters, ordering counter with drinks pickup at the bar. They give you a number and bring your order round. I cant really recommend much, but of the 3 dishes we shared, the scallops and chorizo with avocado mayo was the winner.

The Canning Bridge venue is lacking in atmosphere compared to the others. When you take away the atmosphere Clancys is just overpriced fish and chips. I always enjoy their beer and seafood platters. But if you have to pick, head over to Freo or City Beach.

Fantastic place to explore the culinary delights of land and sea. Generous selection of pub foods to suit basic and more refined palettes. Great selection of wines too. Try coming on the quiz night too… Great fun! Perfect setting for a social catch up, although a little too dimly lit.

It’s Monday night and you want a decent feed and throwback some brewskis. Where you gonna go? Oh nawwww you didn’t hear? Clancys has a quiz night on Monday nights! Let me break it down for you: good grub, good bevs, good quizzes, and friendly/aesthetic staff. Monday nights, where else you gonna be but Clancys?

I love Clancy’s! The Fremantle, City Beach & Applecross locations are all great(even if the Applecross venue is lacking the atmosphere & view of the other two) Came to the Applecross restaurant on a Sunday night after the line at the City Beach location was out the door. With the hangovers me and Laurence W were nursing we weren’t prepared to line up. Ordered the Seafood platter for two which was amazing. $ 60 may seem like a steep price tag but for what you get it is a bargain! everything is cooked perfectly and you definitely won’t leave hungry! Would recommend to anyone after a nice seafood meal in a relaxed setting!

I went here last night for a Sunday dinner with my girlfriend. We frequent both the city beach and Fremantle Clancy’s, so it was a pleasure to find that there was a continuity of quality extended to the Applecross venue. We ordered the seafood platter which was delicious and brilliantly cooked. Each item was tended to individually; the whole dish wasn’t just chucked on the fryer en masse. For drinks we had a lemon, lime and bitters, and an apple juice. The juice was amazing; it must have been freshly squeezed. A great venue and friendly staff. Would attend again.

I occasionally come here for lunch when at work or for a casual catch up with friends. The venue itself is ok, a tad dinghy inside and unfortunately located on the very busy Canning Hwy so if sitting outside you get whiffs of car fumes. The drink prices now seem to be competing with the Raffles down the road and I don’t understand how they can charge around $ 38 for a steak when you’re sitting on a park bench to eat it. Essentially it is your average local pub with the prices of a high calibre restaurant. Having said all this their chilli mussels are good, their standard fish and chips are tasty and the staff friendly.

Great for afternoon beers in summer. Mist sprayers in the outdoor areas and lots of beers on tap.

While Clancy’s in Fremantle has its’ own distinctive vibe going on, its’ sister bar in Canning Bridge is pretty kickarse. It’s always packed at night, no matter what night it is, and it’s easy to see why; it’s the best pub in the area(and gives most others a run for their money too). The food is fantastic, though a little pricey for pub grub, and the service is friendly but pub-style(which wouldn’t be a problem except for the restaurant-level prices). The vibe here is not-quite casual, but it’s very relaxed. They have some great acoustic blues & roots acts through here every so often, which is great if that’s your kind of thing. The range of beers is fantastic and the wine list is well chosen so that there’s something for most palettes. A great joint for a casual night of food and drink with mates.

I have been to Clancy’s fish pub in Applecross over 20 times and I have never once been disappointed. The only time I was momentarily disappointed was when I ordered the special of the day(crayfish) and shorlty after I had sat down the owner approached me to tell me that the staff were not happy with the quality of the crayfish. He politely asked if i’d like to order something else and then shouted myself and my three mates a round of beers. This kind of hospitality isn’t too common in Perth and I was impressed to say the least. The food is always extremely fresh, the crumbed snapper is my personal favourite and the stuffed prawns are also high on the recommendation list. They also have a decent range of drinks as you’d expect from most pubs. Another great thing about the Fish Pub is the cool décor and the laid back atmosphere, perfect if you just want to kick back and have a few drinks.
