Perhaps I spend too much time in wine stores. Or not enough actually buying and drinking. That being keeping up with the sales staff as to what is recommendable or good. That doesn’t make me immune though, to learning new things and wines. Spotted with great labels and wines around the shop, Armadale cellars is the place to go for better wines. There’s also a few boutique beers and ciders from local and smaller operations brewers and such. Including the ever cute as a button Hitincho(sic) nest beers from Japan. Some great examples of red are about, but I’m keenly looking forward to the summer where I can explore the whites and so forth on offer. I’m getting closer to that target of 200 reviews by year’s close.

For a minute there I thought I’d entered a wine store in the most remote province of the French Riviera. No, I’m just in a place that stocks the best wines from all over France and Western Europe. Yep, they’ll set you back a buck but this place is great for unique vintage wines that you just can’t get at other liquor stores. I recommend this place if you need stock for a special occasion or if you want to buy a wine connoisseur a gift that will knock their socks off. ‘Cause let’s admit it, sometimes you want to pretend you know more than a wine connoisseur.
