Admittedly I am not on the bandwagon for pork rolls like the rest of Adelaide. I seem to find that everyone else loves them but I just can’t go past the gunk in my sandwich… however, of the few I’ve tried, this place was the best but I wish I went for chicken rather than pork(too much fat). The ladies at the counter were super-efficient(important on lunch breaks) and they take cash only. Side note: If you are a single lady looking for a man in uniform, then head on over because all services were represented.

Thanh Long is well-known to local workers as a quality provider of Vietnamese meat rolls and indeed, the first VMR I ever tried was from here, based on my husband’s recommendation. Baking the rolls begins super early each morning and you can taste that freshness at lunchtime when the first bite is taken, unlike other purveyors of VMRs that explode into dry powder. Even when I found out that tasty pink spread is, in fact, liver paste, I am still a fan to the point where I have driven down to Hanson Road on the weekend to grab some. The service is efficient and effective, even with our potentially confusing order(one chicken with coriander, no chilli and one chicken with chilli, no coriander) and the price is ridiculously cheap. Go grab a VMR from one of the best in the business!
