For a mini mart that has a poster of an old school perky woman saying, «we give service with a smile» it was a stark contrast and a bit of a surprise to see little miss no smiles behind the counter.
Set up as a convenience shop, meets newsagency perhaps that is a theft prevention measure? I had a quick look at the stationary supplies, fair enough you pay for convenience but Jesus, when did pens and glue become so expensive?
The shop is convenient, if you happen to be in Beaconsfield and I’m sure if you were buying BIG you’d get a smile from the shop assistant. For me, I can wait for a more competitively priced franchise.
